I'll quibble with you a bit in that I think Okogie has the potential to be an allstar caliber player. That potential is apparent in his physical profile (measurements & athleticism) plus his college stats (averaging 6.8 foul shots, 1.9 steals, 1 block, 38% shooting from behind the arc). His obvious worth ethic, high energy and competitive drive are the key ingredients to actually achieving a player's potential. I'm not saying he WILL be a star or that it's even likely. I'm just saying he has that potential and a reasonable chance of reaching that level.
I don't fully get the Okogie hype.
Here is per 100 possessions comparison of two rookies Q's trademark 'do shit stats':
Player 1: 6.4rbs, 2.9asts, 1.5stls and 0.9blks
Player 2: 5.9rbs, 2.5asts, 2.4stls and 0.9blks
Which player did better in 'do shit stats' as a rookie? I think it is difficult to say. Player A had little more rebounds and assists but player B had clearly more steals. Still I would say that their 'do shit stats' performance was fairly even.
Player A is Andrew Wiggins and player B is Josh Okogie.
I admit that this comparison is not totally fair since Wiggins had clearly higher usage, which makes higher assists numbers more probable.
Still I think that Okogie's 'do shit stats' were pretty meh considering he was supposed to be super athletic guard with good length and high motor.

Quinn Cook is a guy I would look at instead of Tyus. Super efficient scorer that shoots the 3 at a very high level (over 40% last 2 seasons).

I have been looking for another situation like our - an offensive oriented star big man.
Why has NO failed year after year with Davis and Holiday - they made the playoffs only 2 times and have been pretty bad all the other years. They have been pretty bad defensively except for the 2 years with Cousins. They like big guys but a fast look at the team stats and I don't understand why they have been so bad. They are doing it again by having Zion play PF in a traditional lineup with an old fashion C type guy.

How about let's say you have 5 million bucks you can spend on any FA (obviously please be realistic) what guy do you want. Name your guy you want. You don't have to spend the whole 5 million just name a guy 5 million or less that you want for this team.
The name I'm throwing out there because he is youngish had a productive season and might actually be gettable at this number is Noah Vonleh.

Player A is Andrew Wiggins and player B is Josh Okogie.
Looking at the advanced stats:
Per - push (Culver is better)
ORB% - Wiggins slightly (Culver is lower than both)
DRB% - Okogie slightly (Culver is slightly lower than Wiggins)
AST% - Okogie by a lot and Culver is much higher than him
TOV% - all 3 are equal
USG - Close on all 3 except Culvers last year and he was much higher
Wiggins OK Culver
ORT p100 - 116 107/111 111/109
DRT p100 - 102 96/122 93/86 Culver really stands out here
OWS - 3.2 2.3/2.1 1.9/3.3
DWS - 1.7 2.2/1.3 2.3/3.5
Wiggins numbers were pretty dam good in college...I wish he had the drive Okogie has

Offensive Fouls Drawn (equivalent to a steal in that it creates a turnover):
Wiggins in 5 seasons and over 14,000 minutes played - 51
Okogie in 1 season and 1,700 minutes played - 46
There is your difference.

There's 4 PF/C's we should be looking at in the free agent market. IMO, 1 or 2 of them need to be Wolves
JaMychal Green
Angel Delgado
Ed Davis
Taj Gibson
If Rosas is really analytically driven, then he needs to get this team guys who can score better than league average in terms of Win Shares /48 minutes
JaMychal Green- .113
Taj Gibson - .144
Angel Delgado (in G-League) - .177
Ed Davis - .191
To compare:
KAT - .197
Dieng - .132
Covington - .114
Rose - .102
Jones - .099
Wiggins - .012!!!!!!!
The Raptors had NINE guys score over .100.
The Wolves currently have three guys under contract over .100.

I dig Dewayne Demon... even if it possibly makes the Wolves larger than what Rosas has hinted is his preference. The guy has been between .114 - .189 with that stat over the past four seasons.
But I think he's going to be out of the Wolves price range.
The time to get him was two seasons ago, before he signed a 2 year/$14M deal with Atlanta. Meh... we have Gorgui Dieng anyway... ummm... yeah...

What if we came away with Dedmon for 3 yr max mid-level and Quinn Cook for smaller deal? Let Tyus walk. Maybe sign Taj if willing to come back on smaller contract. Not exciting, but both Dedmond and Cook bring skills this team needs.
