Guesses?

Someone seems to be missing in that picture. I wonder who it could be?

FWIW Towns is sitting on the score table in the background.

I didn't even see him back there. Good catch. I don't know which is worse now. Him not being in the picture at all or clearly relegated to the background.

This might be way too simple...it doesn't mean anything. The has had a couple recent tweets saying it's years (the two hands) 10 for his career and being thankful. Not sure why he took it down but Teague doesn't seem like a rock the boat type dude.

If all this drama and bullshit could be fixed just by trading Towns do you do it? Or do you blow up everything around Towns and only keep him? That seems to be the direction we are going.

Option A - Towns is traded to PHX to play with his buddy Booker for Ayton and filler.

Option B - trade everyone else you can for picks, guys leave in free agency and Towns is the centerpiece around guys like Okogie and the other lottery picks we get.

Which do you choose?

Option A Interesting idea. But this is fully under the idea that Glen and Thibs are running in lockstep. Which is why I think it is impossible. Something closer to option B seems the more likely scenario. But both are going to involve a time of losing again, which may mean further discontent.

Either option doesn't get rid of Glen. People need to start sending beautiful women into Glen's office with Dictaphones ASAP. He'd probably be too boring to hit on them though.

At this point if you don't believe in Towns the franchise is screwed proretyy much no matter what you do and honestly unless something unexpected happens...it's probably screwed anyway. No way so build around a 30 year old Jimmy Butler. That's insane. If you don't believe in Towns there is a 3rd option. Trade Butler Jimmy Wiggins everyone you can get something for (or get away from paying Wiggins) and start the whole thing over. Tank the hell out of the thing also.

I agree with this sentiment acutally. I was just pondering the idea that you could still have an interesting team by trading Towns. The reality is that I don't think there is any way in hell that Thibs and Taylor are on the same page right now. The definition of the blind leading the blind.

The whole thing is so weird. Taj is super casual about everything. Meanwhile the brass are cancelling practice. This really feels like the slow death of this team to me. And I mean basketball in Minnesota, not the Towns era. Taylor's not cut out to lead, Thibs ignores the drama, the inmates run the asylum. There is just incompetency at a new low at every level.

Taylor isn't going to trade Towns and Towns is taking some big time hits here, but the guy is actually really talented and young. He doesn't look like a lost cause to me. IF you are gonna trade Towns you better have soem absolute basketball genius make that deal becasue to make that work you need to get a massive haul. Remember when Phil Jackson was reported to want to trade Zingis? OMG the Wolves would look like an even more of a dumpster fire than they already are.

I'm 100% team Towns if we're picking sides. It's too bad that Thibs and Taylor's involvement in this franchise make me completely depressed about any scenario moving forward. It's amazing to me that the worst franchise in the NBA has found a new all time low. It's pathetic.

Souhan was on a Canadian radio show today and I listened to it (Souhan has some interesting perspectives) and he said basically...hey look the Wolves and Glen made a couple bigtime moves. They went out and got Thibs the best coach available Thibs goes out and gets a top 15 player the best player he could reasonably acquire...and now it's all blowing up in the franchises face. Glen does deserve blame for the franchise being a loser but man...it's just a bad deal. Let's remember nobody on this board has put forth a name of a coach or GM that would have saved this franchise...they probably wouldn't have been this bad but nobody was clamoring for Nate McMillen (I did bring up his name a few times) back when we were looking for a coach. I can't honestly think of a coach that was available that would have definitely been good. Better than Thibs? Sure the bar might not be very high but you get the idea. To go back around to Glen it's hard to have confidence in him selecting the next guy (then or now) and we are stuck here because there is no obvious option staring us in the face. I agree Glen in part of the problem and deserves blame for all this but I also feel bad for him (and MUCH MUCH MUCH more us as fans) that there is basically nowhere to turn as he still needs to move a top 15-20 talent in the league to get something worthwhile back without screwing the franchise even more with possible long term money. Omg its a refrain that's been said and will continue...it's such a disaster.

No one will be surprised that I choose Option B. Get whatever you can for Butler and also Wiggins and find the right skills and personalities to play with KAT. Shooters and defenders, shooters and defenders....I can't say it enough.

How many times can we say "aw shucks, it's just a bad deal for Glen?" There were plenty of people who questioned the dual role because there is supposed to be a tension of ideas in an innovative business. Glen was the one who figured that giving out the dual role was the only way he could get a top tier candidate. The reason it blew up was because of that organizational decision. The motivation of a coach and GM are by nature at a philosophical dichotomy. Glen chose to ignore that created a situation which he felt had to exists to get his candidate.
