I didn't think I'd ever think this, but I think I'd rather have the Kings' roster and overall setup right now. And that's while acknowledging how talented and productive Towns has been to this point. He's in the early stages of a Hall of Fame career.

But give me Fox, Hield, Bagley, Bogdanovic, some capable veterans on cheap contracts and future financial flexibility over what the Wolves have right now.

You have to have an explosive backcourt to really be in business in today's NBA and I think the Kings have that moving forward.

The Wolves, however, can't get out of their own way -- deciding to trade away the opportunity to select McCollum, passing on Murray and Hield when they were obvious picks, trading LaVine. This is becoming an unforgivable issue and it's no surprise why this team is annually among the worst in three-point shooting.

We can't sign anybody because our King Doofus signed Gorgui, Taj, Teague, Wiggs to ridiculous contracts and threw away top a 7 pick, a top 5 pick and Lavine to rent a psycho and drafted a gimpy big. With a boatload of cap space, lots of young talent and draft picks squandered, Taj and DRose are just impeding the development of young talent. You figure it out.

Future All-Stars Taurean Prince and Buddy Hield were there for the taking, plus other quality players, Jamal Murray, Dejounte Murray and Sabonis. Future All-Stars Markennen and Donovan Mitchell were there at 7 and even the pick back could have netted us John Collins or Jarrett Allen. Plenty of talent we could have developed, but Thibs has no plan to develop future talent if it might cost him a win today.

The only bright spot to me in this game was Okogie's defense on Hield. The rest of his game sucked, but as long as he was guarding Hield, Buddy was a non-factor.
