Most teams arent going to be able to execute like that and the Spurs have Kawaii who might be the 2nd best player in the league. But as usual the Spurs are giving the formula for success. My biggest question for the Warriors was how do you play without any size. With Bogut they could at least fake a traditional line up and the guy was good. Now you're basically conceding the rebound battle and saying you are just going to make every shot. It's still going to work the majority of the time for them but the teams who will challenge are the ones with length.
Good post Dope. It IS going to work the majority of the time, but is it going to be sustainable over 25 playoff games? I have some real doubts about that.

Still, we gotta win more than our fair of the kind of matchup we lost tonight. Damn!
I watched a bit of that Sixers game. I tried to watch a decent chunk because Embiid was in. Dude looked healthy although at one point he did look a little tired. He nailed a 3 and put on a bunch of moves on Adams that didn't result in a basket but the guy is big and mobile. Adams got the best of him at the other ends a couple times. Adams is a really good player. I was really skeptical Embiid would ever be healthy but I'm kinda really hoping and wanting him to do it I am curious what he can do.

Have you seen Embiid's usage? It was 37% or something in the preseason. It was like 45+% in his first NBA game.

The guy played only 22 minutes and took 16 shots!
Yep he was getting up a bunch of shots when I was watching. In fairness to him (to SOME extent) the guys he was playing win when I was watching weren't exactly good scorers. He also passed out of a double team once a terrific bullet pass to a wide open player at the top for a 3 which they bricked.

I didn't see any of it. In fact, I haven't seen him play since college.
But early indications are that he's legit. Let's say it all comes together and he stays healthy... are we embarking on a big man resurgence?
Anthony Davis. (his stat line was absurd in so many ways)
KAT.
Embiid.

Also just looked at the box score from that NO Nuggets game. Wow. Also Your "don't forget about him" guy Nurkic looks like was the best big for the Nuggets.
