Lakers are waiving David Nwaba. I was impressed what I saw of him when he played against the Wolves. He isn't a shooter but he has some decent Q score stats and looks like he plays hard and can handle the ball enough to be a threat. He only played 20 games but he has a 9 min highlight real. He just looks like a young guy that wouldn't be easy to play against.

Come on you Crawford guys...with Butler or Wig, KAT and Teague starting, do you really think we need next to them a high-usage average shooter that can't play defense?

You can all so say the gap between there offence scoring is wide as the pacific. But i see what you saying with all the guys in the starting lineup that can put up points we could use a good defensive player that can hit a 3 once in a while.. Lets hope we can land both of them..

Yup, a shot creator off the bench just isn't necessary when we already have four in the starting lineup that you can easily stagger with the bench rotation. Most teams have no more than three shot creators. Hell, I could argue that Golden State really only has three shot creators in Durant, Curry, and Klay with each a step below the guy before him. After that, who can create offense for them out of nothing? Livingston with the occasional post-up....certainly not Iggy anymore. And not really Draymond, as he is more of a pure facilitator on offense.

Yeah....certainly would help with the defensive culture aspect of things and I'm pretty sure he can still defend the hell out of people in fairly limited minutes. But unlike Thabo, who is at least mediocre from beyond the arc, Allen is a total nonfactor. Not ideal of course, but we're looking between couch cushions at this point.....

The more I think about Thibs' moves after the Butler deal the angrier I get. We'd have about $15 million in cap room if we hadn't signed Butler. Guys like Patterson, Teo and CJ Miles have signed for round $6-7 million. Ilyasova will likely sign for something in that range if not lower. I also wish we had draft John Collins who I think can contribute rebounding and efficient scoring in close as a rookie off the bench. But here we are, hoping that the 35-year old, injury-prone Tony Allen will sign with us for the vet minimum rather than the Clippers. Taj had better be very, very good these next two seasons.

Let's remember that you are basically talking about bench players and there is no guarantee that you would have gotten 3 guys with that money. Let's let this play out more.

Legit asking who would you rather have taj at 14 a year or miles at 8.

The thing is we don't know if players wanted to come here. We don't know if Patterson would want to come here. The wolves have never gotten free agents. Taj and teague are 2 of the top 10 (possibly top 5) free agent signings in wolves history (sad I know). Just think it is a slippery slope to assume players would want to come here for similar money. The wolves won 31 games, haven't made the playoffs in 13 years and are a terrible weather market with no history or culture. We still have to overpay until we win and we have not done that yet

We have 3 roster spots left to fill (assuming Thibs leaves the 15th spot open for now). With Thabo signing elsewhere, I'd like to see us pass on Tony Allen and sign the best three summer league or young NBA prospects available with whatever cap room we have left or with minimum salaries. Thibs and others in our organization have been in Vegas scouting the summer league and presumably they've been studying video and talking to people about other young NBA free agents like Ian Clark, Tyler Ennis, James Young and Troy Williams. It's time to see some dividends from all that scouting. It's time for our front office to show us they can find the proverbial diamond in the rough that top franchise front offices find from time to time. I don't want another one-way player in his 30s on this team. Crawford is enough.

First they should put in a waiver claim on Nwaba. If you like watching Dunn play defense check this guy out.
