Every year I think they're done...every year I'm wrong.

Yeah, not good since this is one of the teams I thought would be a fringe playoff team....still early though.

I still see GS, HOU, SAS, and OKC taking the top 4 spots ultimately. I think we compete with the following six teams for the final four spots: LAC, MEM, POR, UTA, DEN, and NOP.

Any individual match up we have with these teams are big, big games. All wins are great of course, but in the big picture playoff scheme, that Utah win was important.

Kyle Lowry came out yesterday and said he had interest in SA is summer but the feeling wasn't mutual. Makes a lot of sense now seeing Murray to start the year. They draft and develop but had the foresight after one year to realize Murray's potential. I love Pop.

Doesn't surprise me. There were reports during the playoffs of Pop and or the Spurs saying Murray was their PG of the future etc.

This rookie class has gotten off to a pretty strong start. I am curious where this class will end up compared to others.

Yeah, this rookie class is really exciting. What is most interesitng to me, though, is that they generally don't fit the mold of the new 3-point NBA in that few of them are known as even average NBA outside shooters. Ball, Simmons, Smith, and Fultz are all contenders for ROY honors and all terrrific players, but none of them excels in 3-point shooting. Even Jayson Tatum is only 1-5 so far this season. Could this rookie class take the league back in another direction? Probably not, but they certainly seem different than the current stars.

Did you guys see the whole Josh Jackson interaction with a fan?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JmBpBTI6WuE

He said later that it wasn't intended to be a gun, but a halfway middle finger?! What B.S. I liked that guy based on his highlights, but it's looking like the bad character reports based on the altercation in the parking lot are holding more true. Especially after the Vegas shooting, this is just really tone deaf, not to mention inappropriate, and an obvious lie on top of it. What a sh*tshow in Phoenix this year.

Fultz's situation just baffles me. His shoulder is hurt to the point that he won't shoot the ball beyond 15 ft and his free throw form is terrible yet they still play him. That has to be the worst medical staff in the history of sports between Embiid and now Fultz. It's like if the guy can't be shut down for the year they don't bother.

That was clearly intended to be a gun. I had concerns about him also. Maybe this isn't a big deal we will see.

Speaking of Josh Jackson and the Suns here are some fun videos.

People are seriously upset about this? Yeah, it's a stupid thing to do in his position, but geez people really get their panties bunched up easily these days. Elementary kids get suspended for eating a flippen Poptart into the shape of a gun. I'd have been given the death sentence by the time I was 12 if these absurd rules applied when I was a kid... and I've never injured anybody.

An update on the Fultz situation.

http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/21141852/philadelphia-76ers-rookie-markelle-fultz-had-fluid-drained-shoulder

Holy crap that medical staff should be fired.

"He literally can't lift his arms up to shoot the basketball."...hasn't been determined if he'll miss any games.
