Ricky/Lou/Tyus
Butler/Lou/Rush
Wiggins/Casspi
Millsap/Belly/Patton
Towns/G/Aldrich
Last night you told me we should ignore all 3 of the players Houston is trying to unload because we are onto bigger and better players now that we have Butler lol

That was when I still had hope for a Ricky trade. Layden butchered that dream this morning when he talked to Jon K and said Ricky is gonna have a great career here. So I'm moving on with the assumption Ricky is our starting PG.

I love the Gibson idea and starting him next to KAT. Last season he still held opponents to low 50s shooting within six feet. Someone mentioned Meeks before and I like him as a signing too. At this point with Jimmy eating up our cap I wouldn't be opposed to bringing Shabazz back if the market is cold on him. I think if Thibs staggers Jimmy and Wiggins/KAT the Wolves would have a bench they could survive with.
PG Rubio 32 minutes
SG Wiggins 36 minutes
SF Butler 36 minutes
PF Gibson 24 minutes
C Towns 36 minutes
Bench Dieng 24 minutes
Bench Jones 16 minutes
Bench Muhammad 16 minutes*
Bench Bjelcia 12 minutes*
Bench Meeks 8 minutes
*Muhammad and Bjelly's minutes fluid depending on big v. small matchups.

Nice, but I think Thibs sees it more like this:
PG - Rubio 32, Jones 16
SG - Wiggins 48
SF - Butler 48
PF - Gibson 24, Bjelly 16, Dieng 8
C - KAT 48

I get the joke but Thibs loves Gorgui, he's going to get his minutes.

My hope is that Thibs really encourages Gorgui to space out into the corners more regularly. He showed that he can make that corner 3 shot pretty consistently last season. We need to optimize stuff like this, as we don't have any volume snipers on the roster anymore!

Taj Gibson makes a lot of sense provided he isn't looking to break the bank.

I'm not sure he does anymore.....It almost feels like every free agent we go after has to be at least a passable 3-point threat. That's not Taj. Ibaka, Jar Green, Patrick Patterson....

I'm looking at guys that are 3 and D types that may be willing to accept a backup role. Moe Harkless, James Johnson, Luke Babbitt, James Ennis, Jonathan Simmons, Mike Muscala, CJ Miles, Mario Chalmers are some names that come to mind.
