I hope that our front office will be smart enough not to hire Blatt as a coach. Period!
As you all know I`m from Israel where Blat had played and coached most of his career.
As I had written before this season, Blatt has no the skills to be a head coach in the N.B.A. - I think that was proved (Rambis could have won the Eastren finals last year with Lebron on the team).
As I had written before this season, Blatt is not an offensively genius as he was sold in the U.S. by his agent last summer - We all saw he is far from that to say the least and that he has no offensive system (You can watch by yourself with every team team he coached in the past).
We are all have the feeling (and dream) that our team (talent wise) can become a better team than we had in 2004 (Westren Finals), if our young core will develop on the right way with the right head coach. I don`t want Blatt will ruin that dream (with all the talent we have on the roster)
We need an experienced and respectfull coach to coach our talented roster and that can develop and guide our young players. Blatt is not that man, he is a gimmicks guy (That the reason the Cav`s players didn`t respect/hate him in the locker room) and it`s not the time to gamble.
In my opinion, with our talented roster we can hire a high caliber coach next year (By the way SVG sounds good to me) - we shouldn`t waste that chance.
Go wolves!
Thanks for posting your opinions on Blatt again. Not many of us have spent time following his international career so I have always considered your opinions in my mind when considering him over the past year and a half.
SVG isn't going anywhere though maybe you meant JVG?

Mitchell appears to be winning just enough to keep his job through the rest of the season, although I'm not sure Taylor was ever going to pull the trigger mid-season anyway.
It should be another busy off-season, with front office, coaching, and draft pick intrigue. Oh wait, we're only halfway through the regular season, right?
Q, you survived the storm (i'm near DC), I got almost 3 feet by my place, felt like a Minnesota storm. What did you get in Philly? Don't we ask these questions of our team every offseason? It's like a broken record for us pathetic fans, always buying the hope of next year. I'm guilty too, but I was supported by Kahns saying we've gone through 10 years (25?) of this, so why give up now I guess.
I survived. I was traveling for part of last week, but beat the weather system before it could wreak havoc on my trip home - phew! Yeah, we got somewhere in the 30-33 inch range in my neck of the woods, just north of Philadelphia. Holy crap was that an epic storm!
D.C. must be crippled. I've got family down in central Virginia and I know they didn't get it quite as bad as D.C. or Philly.

So what made him so successful back there? I doubt he had many superstars to carry him to all those titles.

Yep, some people still stranded here. Should be somewhat normal tomorrow hopefully.

If I am wrong correct me but I believe he say way back when that his team had a salary that was 2 times the amount of any other team, he had stacked teams compared to the rest of the league
this is short video about Blatt system (before Wig draft), he never got a chance with LeBron bitching around, i am not saying he is some phenomenal coach, but he deserves fair chance somewhere
btw. they ran some fist down actions against us last game which was first time in like year LeBron was involved in Blatt's offensive sets, if Blatt was still there he would never do that as it could mean that Blatt is staying

You were wrong on one thing Maccabi Tel-Aviv had salary that was 10 times the amount of the second best team in the Israeli league (means a lot big names). That the reason they won the Israeli championship for almost 40 years in a row (With Blatt and without Blatt. Actually after so many yers Blatt secceeded to lose the championship in Israel at the year of 2013!)
On the next year Maccabi continue to play very bad and Maccabi wanted to fire Blatt, but then out from nowhere Tyrese Rice was unstoppable had some huge games at the end of the season and won by himself the Israeli championship and the euroleague.
Can Blatt develop young players? no.
I don`t think Blatt is the right man to coach our young roster.

Is that a joke? Blatt system? First, I don`t thing all of these videos are from one season and you can see that Blatt team is losing in most of those videos.
Secondly, there is no Blatt system - as I wrote before Tyrese Rice was unstoppable at the end of that season and had some huge games and won by himself the Israeli championship and the euroleague.
It was funny today to read an article about Blatt in Israeli site. The article was citing an American journalist that said that Blatt is an offensive genius - All the respondents were laughing on the journalist and said that his American agent did a great job, cause Blatt known in Israel more for his defense than for his offense.
If you think Blatt deserve fair chance, maybe the Nets can sign him as their head coach.
