If you want to put everything in context, I think this link should give us a clue....

Take a look at the expected W/L total. The stats show that we should be good, but clearly aren't. KMS when you suggest that we suck in the fourth quarter, that is really what matters during the regular season. What you see from teams in end of game situations is much closer to what you will see in the PO's. Players tend to float through games until the end. It is very common to see focus and effort ramp up at the end. Basically this team can't compete when it really counts.

We're 6th worst in opponent eFG%, 13th worst in points allowed/game

So far, you're totally correct. Hopefully, the fact that this team performs surprisingly well (on both ends) the rest of the game will lead to some W's.

6th worst in opponents eFG%, but worst in opponents FG%, we have been for a long time. We were 3rd worst in points allowed a week ago, thanks for the update. I think my point still stands that you look at defensive efficiency when the rest of the raw data fits.

You're right. They need to improve in the opponent FG% category. However, being elite in TO%, DefReb%, and FT/FGA% helps quite a bit and is a sign of encouragement.
