I know what you guys mean about poor PG scoring. I'm averaging 9 ppg, 2.8 rpg, and 5.3 apg and my team is pretty bad too.

Interesting debate. I am on the fence here. Not a huge Rubio guy, but there really were a lot of sore spots that cost us tonight. That being said, I think I am farily confident in saying that our bench is not getting any better this year. They are rotten to the core.....which unfortunately means we need more CONSISTENT scoring from Rubio and Brewer. While Rubio is averaging 8.7 ppg, he has scored 4, 4, 11, 0, 6, 9, 6 in last 7. Brewer also went through a stretch scoring 3, 5, 6, 4, 9, 9. While neither guy will ever be a great scorer, I would simply like to see some more consistency night to night. Those 3-4 points matter in the grand scheme of many games. While we can probably live with Rubio scoring 8-9 ppg, nit sure we can have consistent success with him scoring 4 or less. It's a small difference, but a meaningful one in my book.

On closer look... how is he only slightly above "league average?"

A couple of things:

1. The PER system is not set up to be half the league is worse than "15" and half the league is better. I am by no means going to count, but I would guess that his PER puts him in the top 120. And Lin is playing slightly better 30 odd games into this season. The end.

2. I think I have boiled down what bothers me about your posts. On the Phoenix thread, I suggested that you look into LeaguePass if you wanted to watch the Suns more. You said your girlfriend would be upset. Now I don't know if you meant to, but I kind of took that to mean that you are implying that I am some sort of social recluse because I watch the NBA on LeaguePass versus basic cable, which beyond the expense of LeaguePass, seems like an odd line to draw. Then shortly later, you posted that you had seen enough of Lance Stephenson to know that he is a "solid, willing defender", but meanwhile, I hardly ever comment on those matters because I know I haven't put the research time in. So which is it: Are you in front of the TV every night watching basketball, or are you too busy being an international man of mystery to be bothered by such nonsense?

C'mon now. It was a quip about me and my relationship with my gal pal. She's not a basketball fan. In fact, up to a year or so ago, she would walk into a room while a game was on and ask "Is Wally playing?"

So to watch more basketball games than I already do instead of spending time with her would probably cause a problem in my relationship. Even if it didn't... it was a throwaway quip that was actually meant to be a bit self-deprecating.
