It is a stupid conversation about Dwill not getting minutes because no one ever used the argument that he didn't get enough minutes. My point was that Adelman is not interested in player development and will opt for vets if given the chance. He has said so much at various points since he has been here. I never said Dwill didn't get enough PT and no one ever did. I thought he was used poorly and that the organization (Adelman included) has its head up its ass when it comes to player development. The word "fair" isn't the right word, it is what is best long term for the franchise. Adelman will work to win now with the tools he knows. I don't think molding 20 year olds was ever something he wanted to do or else he would have been a college coach.

Rudy Gay makes his first appearance with Sac-town. Puts the Lion back in his cage, at least as a starter.

D-Will said himself that he is a 1000 times better basketball player because of Adelman. So it sounds like D-Will disagrees with your take on his development.

Actually the article stated " He said he's "100 times better" than he was in college thanks to Adelman, Love and the rest of the Wolves." but either way it is "PR speak" after getting out of a bad situation. DW also stated this in that same interview -

"I don't think it has anything to do with me playing 30-35 minutes, but just knowing that I'm not going to get taken out for mistakes," Williams said. "They want me to play through them. I make a mistake, [Malone] wants me to get it back on defense, make it up with a blocked shot, pick it up with a steal. Little things like that. I think it just helps any young player's confidence."

so clearly he wasn't happy with the way he was being used. Players don't get better when they are constantly looking over their shoulder.

Nice catch on the D-Will quote......atleast we can agree that D-Will thinks that playing with the Wolves made him 100 times better.
