Rubio and Love are disgusted and walk off the court, Martin is smiling and hugging Suns players. Shows who has a more competitive spirit

Outscored 33 - 17 in the 4th quarter at home is inexcusable.

Suns shot 58% from the field. Their bench outscore ours 61 - 20, yes that's right 61 - 20.

Cunningham played 26 minutes and all the 4th quarter minutes for a +/- of - 19. Dieng played 25 minutes, none in the 4th, for a +/- of +10.

Adelman's other love child Barea scored 2 points in 17 minutes of play with a +/- of - 8.

This is happening all too often that the only thing I can think of is:

A: We are tanking to keep our pick

or

B: Adelman doesn't have a clue.

Bleh. Lets just get to the draft with a pick in hand, a new, inspired coach, and hit the reset button.

Can we get a new backup PG too?

Fortunately, I think this will be on Flip's to do list.

I've been on the sideline---sort of speak---and have just read the post here. But, man the playoffs dream for this year is pretty much out the window after the latest meltdown.

Here's a couple of things that I just don't get----and I read it here a million times, but Rick's rotation is just plain messed up! Too often, I see even Rubio start hot and then he gets subbed in by JJ and the second unit---and in minutes, that lead is just gone! He needs to explain to them to run that clock down to 5 before they even think of shooting. The second unit's job is to shorten the game with less offensive possessions for the opposing team.

I think perhaps Rick's fault is that he doesn't define a players' role. Let's be honest and see if you can predict who comes out and who stays. Can you? Some days Hummel plays. Today Shabazz. Sometimes even Luc or Shved. Dieng has been super hot and even had a +10 in 25 minutes and he was done. No one on that bench even knows if they're gonna play or not----including the starters. Remember those games that Rubio didn't play in the 4th? Or a handful of times, Martin would be warm and then he gets yanked! Hell, I think Love get's put back into the games sometimes too late. WTF are we saving his minutes for?!?! LOL.

Point is----if players know that they get "x" minutes---they will be mentally ready to play. They won't be tentative and worry that they're on such a short leash.

You look at most good teams, and everybody on the team knows his role. It's a pretty basic NBA tenet. Yet, the Wolves have been in mostly disarray for most of the season. Part of that is because the bench has just flat-out sucked balls.

One thing Adelman has been consistent about... subbing the starters, especially Love. Everybody knows when he's leaving the game. But sometimes that causes wholescale shift changes that can change an entire game within moments. Rubio is mentioned above... and the Wolves do better with him on the court vs. him off the court.

But, there is no bigger discrepancy than when Love leaves the court. The team revolves around that guy. Just another game where the bench was overmatched. Same story. It's why the Wolves are a .500 team... at best.

If Dieng and Shabazz had been developed earlier in the season, and if we hadn't made the ridiculous DWill trade the bench might not have been such a sore spot by this time in the season.

Maybe. The coach probably didn't think he had that much margin for error. Or, that the bench would play this poorly for this long.

I don't have much of a problem with Shabazz on the pine. I just think he's a tweener who causes as many problems as solutions.

But I don't understand Dieng. The guy offers at least one thing that the team sorely lacks... so it baffles me that he still didn't get more run if for that alone.
