That's a good point Q. Dillingham is likely more athletic than at least 2 of those guys. McConnell is quite the story. Dude has turned himself into an actual scorer in addition to being a good assist creator despite not being much of a threat from the 3 point line. He isn't a big PG and turned 33 a few weeks ago. He hasn't dropped off after 30 he has gotten better. Another undrafted guy having a pretty nice career.

Re: Conference Finals
I will also mention Trae Young and Darius Garland as similarly sized PGs who have succeeded in the NBA. Young is listed at 6-1, 165 pounds. I don't know if Rob will become a solid rotation player, but he seems to have the speed, athleticism, shooting and court vision to be quite good, even if he hasn't shown us too much in his rookie year. If he doesn't make it, I don't think his size will be the reason.Monster wrote: ↑Mon May 26, 2025 9:42 amThat's a good point Q. Dillingham is likely more athletic than at least 2 of those guys. Dillingham was in the 45th percentile in defensive estimated plus-minus (D-EPM), which is quite good for a young rookie with only one year of college ball. I think his team mates help boost that number even though EPM tries to factor that into their ratings, but still, the eye test validates that he worked hard on that end of the floor and at least made himself pesky.FNG wrote: ↑Mon May 26, 2025 9:58 amI will also mention Trae Young and Darius Garland as similarly sized PGs who have succeeded in the NBA. It was his offensive EPM that wasn't so great (only 15th percentile), as he turned it over quite a bit and wasn't particularly efficient. But given his pedigree and skill level, I am very confident in his ability to eventually be a plus offensive player once he fully adjusts to the NBA.
Bottom line....I am still pretty bullish on Dillingham's future role with the Wolves.
