53 is crowded, but that seems about right, so put me down for that plus a spirited loss in the conference semis. Just a really tough conference this year and I got a bad feeling Denver, Houston, or OKC would beat us in the second round. 4-2 or 4-3. It'll feel like a disappointment, but this is honestly the best stretch of Wolves basketball we may have ever seen (which is kind of sad).

Yeah, seems about where a lot of the board is landing Drew. Making three consecutive WCFs is tough to do. Besides having the talent and coaching, you need your main guys to stay healthy too. It's tough to pull that off three consecutive years.

He didn't give a "wins" prediction, but Jonny K at the Athletic made this bold prediction (from a list of predictions for all 30 teams by their respective beat writers):

The Wolves will win the championship: Did it not say BOLD predictions? I really like the vibe of this team. The players know one another and are stinging from getting embarrassed in Game 5 against the Thunder. I think Anthony Edwards will leap into the MVP discussion, Jaden McDaniels will become a household name and the continuity will carry them over the top.

OKC is the best team, but it’s really hard to repeat. Denver is awesome, but the Wolves always play the Nuggets well. Concerns about point guard are legitimate, but Minnesota is deep enough and talented enough to figure that out. And the Wolves have also proven that, even if they start slow, Chris Finch can figure things out to get them playing their best by the playoffs.
