I say give Rudy, Ant, and Naz some rest games. Rest up and smack LA.

It is a unique looking shot. Like a hybrid of Jaren Jackson and Mikal Bridges.

There's just not enough shot creators on this roster after Ant, and I really don't know what Julius is supposed to be if he isn't pressuring the middle of the defense

Theres not really a prospect of this team getting more shot creators. If Ayo can be resigned and reach his potential we have an outside shot of having a reasonable PG but that is a long shot to me.

What's a long shot? Ayo being re-signed or him being a reasonable PG?

Part of the problem too is that our shot "makers" simply aren't making them. Naz especially has been cold as ice from 3 for over two months now. He's now become a liability against good teams since his shot has abandoned him. At least Randle still sucks in defenders and can generate some open shots for people, but he hasn't been at the top of his game either.

DDV has also been quietly underachieving on his shot for a couple of months now. He'll make a preposterously difficult contested 3 on one trip, but then the next time down brick a wide open one where he has time to get himself set. It's almost completely random which ones he makes and has almost nothing to do if he's covered or not. Or at least it seems that way.

It's frustrating to watch.

I think both of those things coming together. If he plays really well this playoff we are looking at 20mil plus. I love his pace and energy, dont know if hes a defense first floor manager or a secondary scorer. Maybe reasonable isnt the best choice of words. He is really our only hope of an secondary source of giving us something extra in iso. Unfortunately I feel i have to give up on Jaden being that every night. Ayo could be great long term, but for now when he plays good it only shows me just how important pgs are and isnt giving me confidence that he is the long term solution.

If Donte and Julius are back next season, something went terribly wrong.

I thought entering the draft that the Wolves would go looking for a PG to develop, but they may need a do-over on what they hoped Leonard Miller could be and draft a backup PF.

Well, $20-25M doesn't get you more than a really solid rotation player these days. I would certainly say Ayo can be a "reasonable" starting PG, if not a star.

If you are looking for a true #2 scorer that is a PG and can replace Randle's shot creation, that price tag is more like $30-45M per year and it means trading for a guy like Kyrie or Fox.

The other option is you look to build an elite defense, give Ant a ton of usage, and then have Jaden and Ayo both be like 2B type options averaging 16-18 PPG but not really able to carry an offense. That's similar to the OKC model, where SGA averages 31PPG and the then Jalen and Chet are in the high teens. Their #2 option, if you will, is their team defense.
