I expect Bradford is done with the Vikings.
I agree, but I think how he handles himself the rest of the season makes a difference. It says a lot about his leadership.

I think that boat sailed when he laid down behind his lineman and took that final sack. He basically gave up and I think the vikes and Zimmer realize that. I think that has a lot to do with them stating he paid for his procedure himself. That has to mean that there was nothing on an MRI or Xray to show a problem.

Souhan has said he has heard from a number of people in the Vikings organization that said Sam is the toughest skinny QB they have ever seen. Remember this dude someone made it through last season getting rocked pretty much every game. Sam was clearly not healthy the last time he played I didn't see him giving up he just didn't have it physically. He didn't even want to come out of the game.
Regardless I don't see him back here beyond this year unless the price is cheap and that seems a bit unlikely considering you would have to feel pretty confident that he is healthy enough to play. If this surgury doesn't help solve problems he could be done.

It's really sad to see a guy with such amazing potential not make it through a full season without either a major injury to himself, to key teammates, playing on terrible teams, and in most years learning a new offensive system . This team and season would have been the first time he really had a chance to show his ability IMO, and game 1 was one hell of a tease! The guy has HOF talent but the brittle body of a 70 year old woman!
So who will it be this week? I have to say I am impressed with how Case is handling this. There is a lot of pressure on him and he could have the wrong attitude, but he came out and performed and stays positive.

Case starts against the Rams and unless he's awful he stars on the short week against the lions and then you make your decision for the rest of the year. That gives Teddy a full two months of practice. (basically a training camp)

What do you ask of a QB espcially one that has a good defense? Take care of the ball while making enough plays. Keenum has done a pretty good job overall although he now has 4 straight weeks throwing an INT which make up his 5 total on the season. Starting QBs do end up throwing INTs though but Case is trending the wrong direction. He also has zero fumbles and has taken 5 sacks all year. He hasn't been sacked 1 time since week 3. There is some stat I heard that drives that include a sack the chances of it ending in scoring points goes down a bunch which makes sense. So not having sacks is kind of a big deal. The oline should get plenty of credit but Keenum has done his job there too moving around and having good awareness after struggling against the Steelers and a poor call against the Lions. PPF early this month had him as the 3rd best QB throwing out of the pocket. They have him rated at #18 QB with an average grade. That's a spectacular performance considering his is the backup. The Vikings through all this are basically #10 ranked offense. Not bad all things considered not bad at all. I think there are signs it's a good offense regardless but I do think Keenum deserves credit for having a hand in the success. IF....he keeps playing well it won't be easy to give Teddy a start/s if the games still matter. I agree Case has handled this well. He is doing his job.
