Interesting scenario. I like Randle. What would the Wolves interest in Olynyk be though? Where would his minutes come from? Or would that put Pek on the block?

With a youth movement I don't know how Pek doesn't go on the block.

Flip's had interest in Olynyk since before last year's draft. Have to believe that's who Flip was targetting with No. 14 when he ended up with Shabazz.
What do you mean, "where would his minutes come from?" We don't have a backup PF. He'd play with Dieng off the bench.

Re: Best Potential Love Trades
I would agree that it doesn't make much sense for Boston to trade Rondo, as this would certainly doom any chance for the Celtics to have the type of year to convince Love to stay. I just don't see a working scenario for the Wolves with these 2 teams.
Seems Boston and the Lakers makes it out of Cam's trade scenario too easily. Ultimately, Boston gives up Smart, Olynyk and a couple mid-round firsts for Love? Olynyk does nothing for me. I like Smart (and I see we don't even get him), but he and Rubio certainly can't play together due to their shooting woes. None of those draft picks will be anything to clammor over. That doesn't feel like enough to me.
And a guy like Nash is currently a player that the Lakers will need to pay (in the form of draft picks) to unload....he is not someone I take as part of a trade that has us losing Love and Martin. So the Lakers simply swap similar draft picks in Randle and Smart (both which make sense for that team), while also unloading Nash's $10M, and they get back Martin, Bass (2 very useable players) and previously mentioned Smart?
The draft pick with more potential would be that of the Lakers in 2015. Now, add that to the deal, and we may be onto something.

Phoenix owns it, thus LA can't trade it.
Re: Best Potential Love Trades
Having mix feelings on this rumored three team trade. Randle is good and should be a solid nba starter at the very least. The 3 first round picks are nice and olynyk can be a rotation guy. I do hope we get Lin out of this. I prefer him over Nash at this point, both expirings and their salary might be needed to make this work.
I still prefer a trade with the cavs though. Wiggins is still the guy I want and hopefully cavs cave in and include wiggins in a trade with us.

Yes, we know you like Randle, Parker and Smart.

1. Love for a package including Wiggins and Bennett; or
2. Love for a package including Randle and Olynyk.
I'm still leaning toward the first deal, but I would make the second one also...especially if it included picks.
Cam, thanks for posting this rumor. I hope there is something to it, but regardless, it has to get Cleveland more focused. I'm just not sure how far they will go though with all the positive reports about Wiggins and Bennett in LV.

Lip never flip flops does he? LOL
It's called being responsive to new information and basing opinions or predictions on the evidence. Some like Porkchop predict sunshine and still say the sun is shining when it's pouring rain. :)
Keeping an open mind and staying flexible is vital in these crazy days, so we will see some posters change their minds as new information comes in...I hope Flip is keeping an open mind too.
That goes for me too. Nobody is more down on Kevin Love personally than me. But I would flip flop and become the biggest Love fan in the world if he would make this statement today: "Minnesota fans, I've been selfish and a dick (substitute more appropriate word here) and I need to apologize. My behavior has been unfair to you and to the franchise that traded for me, has supported me, and made me a multimillionaire. Both you and the Wolves deserve better. Yes, I want to win, but I want to win here, and I'm confident in the direction Flip is taking this franchise. We will make the playoffs this year, and I am here for the long haul."
Beautiful dreamer...

That could also make them say, hey Wiggins & Bennett is plenty fair. Why should we give up anyone else? Wolves could be asking for 3 players + picks. I'm hoping the Cavs would settle on 2 players + 1 or 2 picks.
