I was worried we might not be on the same level as Houston without ANT, but we played pretty well, and Houston did not look as invincible as some experts like to claim.

I believe we will finish ahead of Houston in the standings, assuming we stay relatively healthy.

On to the next game, which will be tough, with or without ANT.

[Edit: this was meant for the GDT…]

They were missing a good player in Eason but we were missing Ant. I think they will be better next year if Fred VanVleet can come back healthy, but I'm not too worried about them this year.

I wouldn’t give up anything on our roster for Coby White or Malik Monk. Both are terrible defenders and I don’t see either one making teammates better in the PG role. I like Sexton’s scoring punch and I see him as more of a PG than While or Monk, but he’s also a terrible defenders. Here are the defensive ratings of each of these three: White (120.6 this season 116.5 career); Monk (121.8 this season/116.4 career; Sexton (120.2 this season, 120.4 career). Bones has better defensive numbers (114.9 this season/113.7 career). Interestingly, White’s offensive rating is only 106.7 this season with a career offensive rating of 110.1. Monk’s offensive rating is a paltry 107.0 this season and 108.4 for his career.

Yeah I haven't watched enough of White, Monk or Sexton to say how good of a fit they would be. It seems unlikely White and Sexton would come in and buy into playing good team defense if they think its a half year arraignment and they are leaving in the summer. The Bulls reddit seem ready to move on from White, although there are fans on there that want to see him go to a team and have success thinking they are wasting his talents. There seems to be a lot of Monk fans on the Sacramento Kings reddit, that love his hustle, and would rather trade Lavine, Derozan, and Sabonis before they traded Monk. I just don't see how we can match his salary without including Donte or Naz which is a no for me. None of the three have played for a good team, unless you want to call the one year Sacramento looked decent before losing in the first round. And it's always hard to say how a player on a losing team will translate to a good team. I think all would be a pretty big step up from Bones on the bench if all it costs was Mike and Rob, but again you just never know with players from losing teams.

I agree it's a risk and if we can't get anyone like that without giving up DDV or Naz then forget about it. But Mike + Rob might be worth the risk. You have to wonder how much better Coby White, for example, might look if on a contender where he is coming off the bench and surrounded by better players versus starting and being hounded by the opposing team's best defensive guard.

I would do Mike and Rob for White and not even have to think about it.

I think the board is pretty evenly divided on this issue. I'm in the no Coby camp...don't want to mess with the good thing we have going.

Mike is a nice guy but hes 10 mil for nothing right now. Give him a coaching gig if he wants it after this year, but if he can get us anything he needs to be shipped out.

I am a no on Coby. I would rather Sexton. Then maybe Ayo if not. Sexton is a gamer and think he would be a great get.
