I look at Haliburton how I look at LaMelo Ball and Anthony Edwards to some degree. A franchise cornerstone. You build around him. And the Kings moved him.

Indiana has quite the non-knucklehead backcourt... for NBA standards.

Brogdon.
Haliburton.
McConnell.

Those are some nice non-threatening blokes a nice girl can bring home...

Ha. I forgot they signed that guy through the season.

But I'm gonna go ahead and run with him at small forward to spare unsuspecting parents in the greater Indianapolis area any unnecessary angst.

I'm struggling to understand the logic behind these moves Portland are making. They're going full rebuild and 'building' around a 31 year old Lillard.

The rebuild has already started. They've torn the roof off and sold everything but the kitchen sink. Portland might end up trading Damian Lillard too. I think it's going to be the Anfernee Simons show -- and whatever they get in a Lillard deal -- moving forward. That's just my gut feeling as I watch what they've done the last week.

Where does Buddy Heild end up in the nice guy knuckhead meter?

Pacers have a lot of quality guards.

Edit: FWIW my friend that's a Kings fan messaged me that he HATES this deal.

I think they have also kept their options open to some extent. The financial flexibility they are going to have especially after the last trade could help quite a bit either way they go.

I'm calling it a rebuild/refresh at this point. It's basically Lillard and a clean slate.

So as long as he's there...

[Note: So much media-fueled Lillard drama in our futures...]

Man based on what they traded. I think I would've done McDaniels and Beasley for Sabonis

That's if you believe McDaniels celling is as high as Haliburton

Could've found another okay wing somewhere out there and give Nowell Beasley main role.

Well, Portland has managed to rebuild three different times with moderate success in the last 12 years around three different players - Roy, Aldridge, Lillard, and now potentially Lillard again for a 4th rebuild (?). Meanwhile, we had one flash-in-the-pan season with Thibs, Butler, and Co. and otherwise have been wandering the desert. We see this time and again with Western Conference teams. Sacramento might be the only other team that has rivaled our inability to get rebuilds off the ground for any sustained time period.
