These are the knicks, they wont be.

Zingus/doncic is a crazy good 1 2 punch, especially with Carlisle developing them.

With the mavs needing a center, I wonder if they'd be interested in dieng.

Savy move by the Knicks! Wish the wolves had vision like this once the past 20 years. Huge gamble by Dallas, one I don't think they needed to make this early with Doncic.

My thought exactly, Duke. It's a nice deal for the Knicks. They have really good young pieces in Knox and Smith, a top 5 pick and the cap space to sign to stars next summer. They also have some other nice young pieces in Mudiay and Ntilikina who might have trade value if the Knicks decide they don't fit there. Meanwhile, the Mavs really rolled the dice on this one. Zingus should come back from his ACL, but it's never a sure thing and he hasn't played for a year since his surgery. He's also on an expiring deal with no guarantee he'll re-sign with the Mavs. It could turn out to be a good deal for both teams, but I'd say it's a better deal for the Knicks.

The New York Knicks have been one of the worst run franchises in the history of professional sports. The fact they haven't been able to compete with all the built in advantages they have, is truly amazing. Is this an example of savvy thinking? Perhaps, but the obvious question would be, "what the fuck took so long?" I mean how do they wallow in mediocrity year after year when the very league they play in wants them to win so badly? It would be like the New York Yankees having a sub .500 record for a decade.

Let's not compare our situation with that of the New York Knickerbockers. A stranger parallel can hardly be drawn.
