I would honestly be very disappointed if Pau chose Portland over Minnesota with financials being equal (and it sounds like the offers are).

If KD signs with GS, does anyone think OKC would make a run at Gasol? Maybe 3 x $20m? Why else would he be waiting on KD?

I get why you'd be disappointed for us, but Portland was a playoff team last year and we were a bottom 5 team. If the money is equal, winning is usually next on the list and they were a better team than us last year by a lot.

San Antonio.

But it would signal to me a major lack of foresight. I believe Wolves can pass up Portland.

San Antonio.
San Antonio just makes too much sense for Gasol to pass up. That's gotta be why Pau is waiting.
My guess? Durant stays in OKC on a 1 year deal and Gasol goes to San Antonio.

Hasn't it been two seasons since he has actually provided anything? The NBA should really look into a way for teams to get out of contracts like his.
Everything is conjecture at this point, but I don't see the Wolves retaining KG in any fashion. He's not the executive type, and he has vehemently said he has no interest in coaching.
Pek's situation is different. I think he wants to get paid, and since he is 10 years younger than KG, probably thinks he can play some next year (even if Thibs doesn't ). I would say there is no chance of Pek taking a medical retirement and walking away from that money.

Do you think Gorgui will still want to sign with us if we give Gasol his starting spot? I don't know, but I do worry about how this would affect our ability to extend Gorgui. Kind of wish we could extend Gorgui at the same time for like 15 Mill a year.

I would be somewhat relieved. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't mind Gasol here but I would prefer to spend some money on pieces who may grow into their roles with our core. I'd be very surprised if we actually landed Gasol anyhow.

It doesn't really matter what Gorgui wants because he'll be restricted.
