The problem with the Bulls package is that the two key players, Mirotic and McDermott, are below average athletically by NBA standards and both are suspect defensively. I view Gibson as an ancillary piece. He has never put up great numbers, has generally been a second unit player, and is already 29 years old.

I like the potential of Mirotic and McDermott a lot. But at their best, they will both be primarily one way (offensive) players with less than optimal athleticism in an increasingly athletic League. The success of these two in the NBA is no more certain than the success of Wiggins. Yet, If Wiggins succeeds, he'll be good to great on both ends and will be at the head of the class athletically. When you then factor in the potential of the excessively maligned Bennett and a couple future first round picks, I can't see choosing the Chicago deal over the Cleveland deal. And if the Wolves can ramp up the Cleveland deal to include Waiters, TT or Thaddeus Young, the Cleveland deal becomes a slam dunk over the Bulls' offer.

LST, where did you go? Are you still laughing from that Onion article you posted on here?

Are you just sitting in a quiet room waiting for all this to be over so we can go on with our lives? haha.

Ha! I have to admit I'm a little bored with the lack of news, but still excited that something good is going to happen. But the main reason for my quiet is that I'm back in Minnesota for a quick visit, and too much going on here. Man, what a glorious place! I'll be back someday.

Meanwhile I am checking in once or twice a day, and appreciating the good analysis here. This is my source for wolves news!

If you had to build a basketball player. Pick 2 Average and 2 Exceptional.

Athlete - Average or Exceptional
Size - Average or Exceptional
BBIQ - Average or Exceptional
BB Skills - Average or Exceptional

I would go with BBIQ and BB Skills as exceptional.
