By the way, I'm excited at the prospect of Pat Bev's return to the Wolves. I understand Cool's point about the grating nature of Pat's excesses. However, Ant loves him and I think he'll provide a real competitive spark to this team. Where I think I would agree with Cool is that Pat isn't a guy I'd roll with fore more than a couple seasons. I think we could use him now and MAYBE next season.

This popped into my mind when I heard about the Durant deal. Bridges and/or Cam Johnson and picks for Towns could be where this heads.
KAT is a four 1st-round player. He's a perennial all-star and still in the middle of his prime years. You don't sell KAT for Bridges, two firsts and a bunch of 2nds. Second round picks are the currency for players like DLO, Wiseman, etc. Unfortunately for the Wolves, 2nd-round picks are probably the main currency for Rudy Gobert right now.
You'll be lucky if you get 3.
KAT has a shitty rep that he has yet to overcome.
I'll also say this:
let's say this trade did happen this summer. There's no point to extending McDaniels when I'd have a much better defender in Bridges who makes less money than what McDaniels could command.
Ya who would want arguably the best 2 wing defenders in the NBA who both hit 3s. Come on man. Still would rather have Kat though

That's exactly what this team needs. Another 35-year old.

I don't wanna play Ant at PG. I just don't. I don't see it working, even if I do have Bridges and McDaniels next to him. There's no primary decision in that bunch that I'd trust.

Marc Stien says wolves will not go after Pat Bev. We have a source off

For the Long-term good of the team... They must get lucky with a youngster over the next few years.
I don't know if bones hyland is going to flameout or not... but I get an anfernee simons vibes for some reason.
Actually, hyland has had a better first two years. I'm thinking he's better than either of those two 2nd rd picks amount to...

When you figure we will have 4 max, or near max guys in two years, how much are you going to pay a PG? Do you even need a stud PG?
And if Conley is still productive, maybe he is extended for another year or two. How old is Chris Paul?

And if my aunt had a dick, she'd be my uncle. The chances of Mike Conley Jr. being worth keeping around at age 37 and 38 is highly unlikely. Just wait until we're having nights where we bitch about him the rest of this season and next.
That is, unless he's traded over the summer or at next year's deadline, which was supposedly part of the allure of getting him now. Minnesota's keeping that salary slot alive, but not for Conley's human remains.

That's my thesis dating back to last offseason, although I have admittedly waxed and waned a bit on it. Is some combination of Conley/McLaughlin/K. Anderson paired with Ant really going to be this team's downfall?
One thing I do agree with Cam on is that Ant can't be the only guy on the roster that can put the ball on the deck and create.
