Depends on who's available at 5 and 7 for me.

I would want to include Pek's deal if I'm moving the higher pick AND the younger, cheaper player.

We most likely come out of the offseason with Hield, Faried, and Noah.

Not a bad off-season by any means. Would hope we can do better.

That's the thing. They get one year to properly evaluate if there is anything in the tank. There was so little to be done with the financial constraints of their franchise and Jackson seems to be inching them back to relevance. I actually love Hornacek for them too. I like this deal a lot and trust Jackson's evaluation of Jerian Grant.

Yeah, I guess I can see the salary angle to it...but how long were the guys they traded away locked in for? How much of that money would have been freed up anyway?

13 mil from Lopez.

Knicks are reported interested in Noah too. Stories angling the relationship with Rose, him being a New Yorker. Going to be a fun offseason. I tomorrow is just the beginning. The great thing is that we have lots of opportunity with our pick, if the deals of today are any indication of the value of picks.

The question is this: What prospect does the Nuggets front office covet who they think will be available at #5 but not available at #7. It can't be Dunn because Denver doesn't need another PG and they really need shooting next to Mudiay. If it's' Hield they shouldn't have to do the deal since most are projecting Hield to be available at #7. So I'm guessing it's Murray or Bender. But it's a bit of a mystery.

They're a wildcard, no doubt. I think whatever prospect they have in mind is in some way related to who the Pelicans are looking to draft. Otherwise, why move up? The Pelicans have holes everywhere. Anderson's a free agent. Gordon's a free agent. Holiday's a free agent after next year. Evans is a free agent after next year. They could go in any direction. That makes trying to pinpoint who Denver might want to trade up for more difficult.

Or Denver is fine with staying at No. 7, but they're looking for different compensation for Faried -- veteran help at a different position. They're stacked with bigs. Jokic, Nurkic, Gallo, Arthur, Lauvergne. They could benefit greatly from some more perimeter oriented players.

Cam -- I agree that the prospect Denver has in mind is most likely related to who the Pelicans are looking at in the draft. I just don't have a sense of who that would be. Tomorrow night will be interesting!

I sorta like Rose. I feel bad for the guy and him getting out of Chicago to get sort of a fresh start. But he ended up with the Knicks who are probably one of the few teams willing to take a risk in adding him. I'm not sure that works out good but if it doesn't he is a FA and can pick his next spot. I'm not buying Rose will find his game but I'm hoping he finds enough and be healthy to not be a joke around the league anymore.

Here's an interesting tweet.

Brian Geltzeiler ?@hoopscritic
Hearing that Minnesota is shopping Rubio and not asking for much in return as long as the receiving team takes Pekovic's contract as well.

Yikes, tough day for Ricky. First, KAT says Tyler Ulis is the best PG he has ever played with, and now Geitzeiler says the Wolves don't need much in return for him other than unloading Pek.

Anybody know much about Geitzeler. All I remember is hearing him say last February that he was certain Mike Conley was going to be swapped for Reggie Jackson...still waiting on that one.

This just doesn't make sense to me. Getting rid of Pek's contract just isn't that valuable, since he's only on the books for 2 more years, and the Wolves have plenty of cap space for those two years. I'm calling BS on Geitzeiler.
