I got a chuckle out of this quote about Murry.

Patrick McCaw scored 28 points on 11 of 17 shooting with 3 triples. This is his 11th game scoring 20+ points. Who knew this guy could score. He is one of the best defenders in college ball. I have no idea why this guy isn't given more love by the mock draft world.

What about Shabazz for a pick to draft Sabonis?
Or finally Shabazz for a pick to draft Valentine?

Not sure they would do that, but they do have a glut of big men. If I were them I would be peddling Saric and Okafor. I think Okafor can get them a huge return, but I think they may keep them all for now and see what happens.

Great scenario. I probably stay pat, but passing on potentially the greatest front court in the history of the game is very tough. Having a starting 5 of Towns, Simmons, Wiggins, LaVine, and Rubio would be so good from every position we would be tough to beat. That's a no holes offense where 4 of the 5 players are basically the same age so they will progress and build together for a long long time. On the other hand you would have two super athletic two way bigs who would really kill the trend of small ball. So I'm basically on the fence.

From New Orleans perspective I do it. Yes Davis is a star, but you don't have anybody to pair him with and the team around him isn't that good. You would be potentially be getting a dynamic duo and then you would hope that you could build around the two better than you did Davis.

Yes, Yes and Yes.

Another guy who I don't think gets enough love is Gary Payton II. He just put up this line against Cal: 20 points, 17 rebounds, 2 steals, 2 blocks and 2 assists. He can pass, rebound, defend and he's an efficient scorer (48.4%). He's pegged to go in the second round, though occasionally I've seen him as a late first rounder. Someone will get a bargain.

Per Doogie: The #Twolves had Milt Barnes watch Ingram today at the ACC Tournament, and Rob Babcock is at the B1G Tourney. Great week for scouting.

The #Twolves have Calvin Booth in Vegas this week for the Pac-12 Tourney, and the WCC Tourney just wrapped. Chance to see Jaylen Brown, etc.

Rob Babcock has joined Calvin Booth at this Cal.-Utah game. Nice for #Twolves to have more eyes on Brown, Rabb, Poeltl. All Lottery guys.

Can't believe NBADraftNet is putting Dejounte Murray at 9th overall. He's a good scorer but his shooting percentages are terrible across the board and he has a whopping 3.2 turnovers a game.

Watched Michigan State and Valentine today. I can see why his draft value is not in the top tier. He really struggles to create his own shot off the dribble because he's slow and doesn't get much elevation. What he does have is excellent floor vision (10 assists today), a sweet outside shot, and very good handles. He's like a crafty old-school player that should fit in well with any team that drafts him, but he really can't be a top 2 or 3 scoring option from what I can tell.
