I would still like to see a 3rd PG who actually has some experience. Did I hear Flip say there might be something else as he left the presser?

Do you have a link to the press conference?

I watched it streamed live. I'm sure a link will be available sometime tomorrow, if not sooner...

Thank you!

Interesting that Petteway goes undrafted a year after he might have cracked the first round had he come out.

Cliff Alexander, Christian Wood and Robert Upshaw surprisingly weren't taken. Would love to see any of them on our summer roster. Also Corey Hawkins and Michael Qualls (if healthy) would be nice to have on our summer roster.

I would like to see either Brandon Ashley or McConnell from Arizona added to summer league. Both have good skills. Upshaw amazes me...so much talent and I can't believe his issues are that terrible

I am absolutely loving watching Stephen a smith lose his freaking mind whining about the Knicks pick. He's such a bitter human being about everything.

Couldn't agree more. Thought he was going to spontaneously combust. Just wish Skip was around to wind him up even more.

Anyhow, when he was a senior he played against Tyus Jones, who was in 8th grade at the time. My cousin believed he was absolutely going to dominate this diminutive 8th grader. Well, 4 quarters later Tyus hung up 25+ and 11 assists on him. A week ago he bet me that Tyus was going to be picked by Cleveland. I told him if he was picked by Cleveland that they were going to hand us another gift. Life is very sweet right now, well for everyone but my cousin!

lmao, that's pretty damn awesome if you ask me.

Can KG mentor an entire bench unit on how to play defense? Because I don't think we have a single guy coming off our bench that can stop anyone. This team is going to struggle big-time on the defensive end again.

Do people still think it was some crazy experiment? I thought it was made pretty clear that the primary reason he was playing PG was to enhance his overall game for when he's playing mostly SG.

crazysauce wrote:Why does everyone want to just give away bennett for nothing? The guy was drafted 1st overall and played just over a hundred games and about 14 minutes per game. You got to give him a shot. I dont get the big rush to get rid of him?

The biggest problem I see right now is having too many PFs and needing to find a spot for Bjelica or be forced to trade him.

C. Pek, Towns, Dieng
PF: KG, AB, Payne
SF: Wiggins, Bazz, Hummel, Bud
SG: Martin, Zach
PG: Rubio, Jones

I think Flip is going to fill the 15th position with a shooter...an end of the roster kind of guy who could turn into a 3-point threat. Flip will be looking at free agents that he can try out in SL to fill this role.

I hate to say it, but to see Dieng at 3rd deep Center especially behind Pek who last I heard is still nowhere close to being back is sickening. I hated Peks deal a few years ago and hate it even more now since I feel Dieng is going to be really solid at C for us, especially with Towns potential ability at both C and PF

People were posting hypothetical lineups in another thread assuming we take towns. Towns and Dieng will be before Payne and AB at the PF spot. I see Payne getting 10-15 minutes, AB gone, and distribute the rest of the minutes to everybody else. That makes sense. Then have a guy like Hamilton on the bench as an insurance policy in case of multiple injuries to our bigs.

The team was worse Petteway struggled something was off nobody here in Lincoln has figured out what it was. Lots of young talent this year it should be fun to watch. Petteway could be a guy that ends up having a career after playing in a league outside the NBA a year or 2.
