You have to have cheap guys at the end of your bench that can give you some minutes when needed so you can afford the high dollar guys in the regular rotation. Point being, adding Hummel doesn't limit the Wolves at all... I'd actually argue it gives them more flexibility because it allows them more trade options with their current overpaid rotation guys
I know all of that, but there's plenty of other guys out there that I would rather have on the roster for $900K.
So both Jameer Nelson and Evan Turner sign for less than $3 million per year and we sit here celebrating the return of Robbie Hummel and unable to find anyone willing to give us anything of value for Kevin Martin. Flip better make one hell of a deal for Kevin Love!!!!

I'm not crying over missing out on either of those guys and besides both go to likely much better situations than what we have here.

I dont think boston is a better situation for turner than us monster. Like us, boston has a logjam at the wing positions with bradley(resigned for ridiculous 8m/yr), thornton, green, wallace, young and smart. Seems like an odd signing.
I would have like turner with the wolves. He gives us a wing who can handle the ball and create. Would have been a good choice to have the offense go tru him on the 2nd unit. Can also defend and rebound well for a wing.
Like a lot of you have been saying the Mavs had a hell of an offseason. Chandler, Felton, Nelson, Parsons, Aminu, Jefferson, as well as signing Dirk to a bargain contract
