True, but Love didn't hit many his first year either and I believe Bennett showed some potential in college. Either way I'm still not a big fan of his height though.

Bigten, Cam, Only reason sixers will get involved and trade young is if they get waiters who they reportedly covet. No way they trade young for bennet and jj. Take a look at the sixers roster. They have mcw, wroten and maynor playing pg. They are not just going to take jj without an incentive to do so.
I guess I dont value bennet as much as much as you. i like him more that tt though.

Think about it this way.. You are willing to trade 2/4 or 2/5 of those CLE assets for Young. Which means you are pretty much saying Love is only worth Wiggins, the MEM pick & the MIA pick.
Ive maintain my stance all along that wiggins is the only player I will like to trade love for. I really dont care who else we get with wiggins, they are bonus for me. You rarely get equal value if you trade a superstar. Love is a top 10 player in the league. What we are getting is a player who has the potential to be a top 10 player in the league down the road as well.
So, yes if its only as simple as love for wiggins + 2 first then Il take it.
If we can get thad young for brewer, jj/shved and turiaf then il take it every day.

We forget that Philly loved Bennett last year and likely would have drafted him had he been available. Supposedly, they had Bennett, Noel and Oladipo on their wishlist. Obviously Bennett and Oladipo went 1-2, so they took Noel after the Holiday trade.
Philly may covet Waiters, but I wouldn't trade him for Young, and that's coming from a guy who really likes Young's game. Bennett still has value to a team like Philly, who just needs young talent with good potential right now. Personally, I don't like Bennett, but I do realize other teams did like him a lot coming out of college and Philly was one of them. They can use him at SF and PF next year and let him do his thing as Philly won't see much of Embiid next year and Saric's two years away at least. As for Barea, he's an expiring that they'd take on so they could acquire Bennett. He'd also become the second best PG on their team (Wroten's a SG by the way).

Ugh... I hate the comparison to Love's shooting. I get why people use it. I just don't agree with it.
May I remind everyone here that Bennett's a small forward. His offensive game is that of a small forward. He has been vocal about being a small forward. He can't guard either position, though. Tweeeeener.

Then maybe the Sixers isn't the place to trade him. I saw this in the NBA rumor blog earlier, but it's from 2 days ago.
Cleveland may need a third team to work out a deal for Kevin Love, and the Cavaliers may have found a taker. Philadelphia is one of three teams, along with Denver and Boston, that Sean Deveney of the Sporting News reports are the leading candidates to serve as a third team in the Love-to-Cleveland deal. On Tuesday night, Sam Amico of FOX Sports Ohio reported that there are "whispers of the 76ers possessing a strong interest in Cavs guard Dion Waiters." Waiters is the latest name on the Cavs to come up as a possible piece in the deal, but only after weeks of speculation that Cleveland may be willing to offer up Andrew Wiggins, Anthony Bennett and a future first-round pick to land the All-Star power forward. We'll continue to keep you posted on any further developments when we hear about them.
EDIT: Fixed the quote.

Boston and denver are over the cap. Cant see them getting involved without them getting love in return. Teams with cap space are the ideal trade partners in this.

Good point about the Sixers being high on Bennett.

Yeah I wasn't really trying to compare the 2 specifically. Mainly just that seeing a player's 3 point shooting drop off from college to their rookie year isn't reason to write it off yet.

True, but shows they are probably talking to quite a few teams about being involved in the trade and who knows. It could end up being 4 teams.

Question: Would the Lakers trade Randle for Bennett and Waiters, hypothetically?

What are your thoughts on this trade?
MN in: Wiggins Bennett Young Richardson(expiring) Delladova Lucas Murphy 2 Firsts
MN Out: Love Martin Barea Brewer
CLE in Love Martin
Out Wiggins Bennett Waiters Delladova Lucas Murphy 2 Firsts
PHI in Waiters Brewer Barea
Out Young
Why I'd do this trade
1. WIGGINS, I'm a big fan and hope I can see a back court of Rubio, LaVine, and Wiggins.
2. Get a quality starting PF, in return. I really like Thad, and he could just be a rental, but he'd fill a hole until at least next year where we could draft or sign a new PF
3. Potential of Bennett, I don't think he's gonna be an all star but I can see him as a solid starter. Imagine Rubio and Bennett running the P&R with Pek/Dieng on the block
4. Clears up long term cap and gives us some cap room next year, as much as around 20 mil
5. Clears minutes for guys like LaVine, Bazz, Wiggins, and Bennett
6. Future Picks
7. I DO NOT WANT WAITERS. The guy is a cancer and I don't want any of it. I want him as an asset we can use but I don't want him on this team.
Rubio LaVine Shved
Richardson LaVine Budinger
Wiggins Bazz Bennett
Young Bennett
Pek Dieng Turiaf
