Agree with your shout-outs to DLO, Gobert and Anderson. But I'll add a shout-out to Nowell. He had 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal and 9 points on 50% shooting in only 21 minutes. His second quarter steal that he converted to a layup on the other was a big play. Also agree that Edwards did the things the top players do when they're shots aren't falling.

Almost as weird as the Rivers-Nowell-Moore-Reid-Gobert lineup. Chris Finch... what is this?

Has there been any update about Taurean Prince at all?

I didn't see this comment, Jester, and I apologize for the no-answer! But it was reported that Chris Finch said that Taurean Prince is still about a week away from returning. Sounds like he's heading in the right direction.

That's a fair amendment, Lip. Jaylen Nowell continued his stretch of good basketball with tonight's game. I really like watching Nowell attack in transition. He's a player I feel confident will finish those opportunities more often than not. We needed that spark and he's been on a nice run lately.

I like the toughness and resilience the team has been showing. Not unlike the Vikes this year. If DLo, Rudy and Ant keep playing this way when KAT is back and KAT is KAT again, this team will be tough.

Ant was snake bit with his shot tonight but I am really liking his demeanor lately. His court awareness has improved a lot. It appears he is taking the idea of leadership seriously.

And I LOVE LOVE LOVE SloMo

D'Angelo Russell in the fourth quarter this season: 132 points, 46-85 FG (54.1%), 21-47 3P (44.7%), 19-25 FT (76.0%), 68.8 TS%, 36 AST

- 1st in TS% in the fourth quarter among the 35 players who have taken at least 80 FGA.

- 3rd among all players in total assists in the fourth quarter.

D'Angelo Russell in the clutch this season: 28 points, 10-17 FG (58.8%), 6-10 3P (60.0%), 2-3 FT (66.7%), 76.4 TS%, 4 AST in 10 games (8-2 W/L) that fit the "clutch" criteria -- within five points with five minutes or less remaining.

Without a doubt, the guy has been cold-blooded in the fourth and in clutch time for Minnesota this season, and has been this way for a while. The "ice in his veins" mantra is real. Tonight was just silly scoring 20 points in the fourth on 7-7 shooting including 6-6 from three. Video game mode. That was a lot of fun to witness.

If you missed this one, I highly recommend taking the time to watch it. Not just for D-Lo's heroic shot-making in the fourth, but to appreciate Rudy Gobert's dominance from start to finish, and Kyle Anderson's unique-but-effective all-around skill set on full display. Highly entertaining game and a feel-good victory on top of it.

Kyle Anderson: 15 points (4-5 FG, 7-9 FT), 12 assists (4 turnovers), 7 rebounds, 2 steals, 1 block

- New career-high in assists

It was nice to see how much the Utah crowd loves Vando. That may have been the best game Ive ever seen Dlo play. He was very energetic. Gobert is awesome. We got jack all from Ant and got a tough road win. Exciting.

3-1 now without KAT, and 4 very entertaining games...and man was this one fun! DLo and SloMo must have heard Michael Grady say the Wolves had no answer for Utah's zone (I agreed at the time), because right after that they put marvelous SloMo in the paint to run the offense, and he found an open DLo for huge 3's time after time...just a terrific 2-man game and what a 4th quarter shooting performance!

I get that Utah was missing arguably their best player Markkenen and a key reserve. But we were missing arguably our best player in KAT and our two most key reserves. To beat Utah on the road by 10 really makes a statement.

As for our 2 former Wolves: it was really fun to watch Vando again, and f*#* you Beasley. We didn't defend Beasley well and he made us pay (some of this is on Finchie for some bad defensive assignment decisions), but his immature on-court behavior was frankly something I never saw when he was here. What a punk tonight...should have been teed up for taunting. I miss Vando but not Beasley, but I don't miss either too much when Gobert plays like he has the past two games.

Now it's on to Portland for 2 games, including a back to back tonight. Portland is another good 3-point shooting team, but hasn't been playing well recently. Who does Finchie put on Lilliard...Jaden?

Get well soon, J-Mac!

Well, he was a +1 in his 4 minutes! We would have won by 3 more points if he had played his usual 18 minutes or so!
