I started at the ESPN boards as tha_phenom. I was about 12 when I started following the team Marburys rookie year. I remember seeing a magazine that had KG on it and on the cover it called him Tha Phenom.
At one point ESPN had some kind of glitch and many of us were locked out of our accounts or they disappeared or whatever. So I came back as Phenom's Revenge.
This name will be even more fitting when KG returns as part owner.

It is insane that many of us have been in the same orbit for 25+ years. Good job Wolves fans. How any of us survived the Telfair era is beyond me.

I wish I had a cool story to share on my screen name. But it was probably early in my high school years and I was watching a college game on TV. I can't even remember the teams, but one player was called CoolBreeze by his teammates. I liked it so much that I claimed it as my own. It has endured for a long time.

So not like that one girlfriend I had who I called Cool Breeze because she got very perky whenever there was a slight breeze! I was hoping that wasn't you! :D

Apparently, I was just into random tv pop culture stuff.
The other username in consideration back in the day was WillieAaamestoPlease. I don't think anything Jack Soo related was ever in contention.

When I was about 25 I tried writing a pilot for a television series called "The Funny Papers." It was essentially Barney Miller set in a news room where the comedic relief fell a little harder on the guests. The format was excellent...(you could write about anything in a news room) but the execution was horrendous

Nice.
Who was in the cast? Maybe it just needed Hal Linden and Jack Soo... and maybe a certain famous dour-faced character actor.

Interesting stuff guys!
One thing I notice is that it seems like we're all, you know, relatively old. Phenom might be the youngest guy whose age I can guess, and he must be in his late 30s. We've got fans who've been around since the 90s, and a contingent of 70s-era entertainment fans. Makes me wonder why that is. Is it because we're the generation that came of age on the internet before twitter? Or because this team's been so crappy it's scared away all the fans that don't remember the KG years?

To be fair... I'm "old"... but I'm not Barney Miller old.
I'm not even in the same demographic as Abe Vigoda is... err...ummmm... was.
