Lol. And sugar is the worst drug of them all. Hell even LSD is used in mental health therapy. Portugal allows everything out in the open. Seems like we should move in that direction.

GOV and the banking system is responsible for killing millions of Americans. Here is how. Nixon ended the Gold standard in 1971. Inflation rates as a result were skyrocketing along with food prices. Sugar became very expensive and in order to provide Americans a low cost cheap food in comes High Fructose Corn Syrup. Nixon started Corn subsidies and you know the rest of history. Obesity epidemic along with heart disease, diabetes and more. Here we are today and not much as changed except most of us know not to eat that garbage.

Yeah well caffeine does nothing for me. I go straight for the hard stuff...the sugar.

Let me ask you this question - have we won the war on drugs? Do you think this is winning? We have created a criminal underworld that is at war with not only the militarized police efforts but in our communities fighting over the drug trade. Half the country now has legalized pot - the devil didn't appear out of the sewers eating people, the states didnt collapse.
I dont understand the drive to keep other people from being happy. Oh right, its a slippery slope - that's why we lead the world in imprisonment - think about that...you guys keep talking like legalization will lead to bad things - we are already there - just not for fat old white guys but that is changing.
I can't imagine people in the dispair of addiction consider their habits to be fun. No one here is talking about weed.

It's a sexy headline, but it doesn't appear they have a case on Pek . . .
I did and then posted my favorite memory of Pek in a safari outfit lol. As the baseball guy really hard to read the basketball side of this board lately. Makes me not want to even post on the Twins board side.

Welcome back Jester! You're still a Twins fan after another playoff sweep?
One thing you learn in addiction counseling/treatment is that even though you have a disease, you are still responsible for your own actions. Cops don't target addicts because they're addicts. Addicts draw attention from police because they become a threat to themselves as well as those around them.
Most people I've met who have addiction problems are really good people deep down. It's really heartbreaking to see people with potential struggle with the disease. But I can't blame the police for enforcing drug laws. In fact I'm glad they are out there doing it. Are there some bad apples in the police force? Of course. Is some type of reform overdue? Perhaps. But cops aren't in the business of ruining people's lives for sport. 99.9% of those who ruin their life are given multiple chances and multiple opportunities to turn their life around. At the end of the day, you are responsible for your actions.
