That was a big boy win. The Spurs just grind you down with great execution, but we were able to hang with them and make the 2nd effort consistently to contest shots or chase down O-boards. That was impressive.

Very good win and good night for us with new orleans, memphis and jazz losing.

We win despite wiggins and especially butler horrid shooting. Both have not shot well the last few games. They are bound to get hot and go on a run and win us more games, which will be great for us.

I have nothing to complain when we are 9-5 and our top 2 wings are not having good games. Things will only get better.

Fun team win, it was refreshing. Move to 5-1 at home and it was a sell out on a Wednesday!

Pelicans going to lose to the Raptors and Grizzlies on the ropes against Indiana. Could be a really nice night for us.

Agreed. Finally a sloppy, defensive win for the Wolves. Can't remember the last time I've seen that. Likely KG era.

Yeah, the Spurs make you take shots you don't want to take, but in a couple of cases those guys just blew it. I think Wiggins blew an easy layup where he Euro-stepped his way in for an open look and Butler keeps missing fairly open outside shots. Butler also made a super careless pass late in the 4th. Just shaky stuff from him on offense, but he did good work defensively.

He'd be even more valuable if the refs gave him an ounce of respect. It's not as bad as his rookie year, but they still give him the white Euro-dude treatment. I literally think the color of his skin and place of origin negatively impact how he gets reffed. Call me crazy.

I don't think there is much to complain. Yes both could have played much better but these 2 are much much better than they have shown the last few games. They are bound to get it together and get it going, making us more dangerous.

The positive of this team now is we can win any game as KAT, wig, jimmy and teague can win you games themselves. We know taj is going to be steadily consistent and belly is becoming a weapon off the bench. Crawford can shoot you into wins himself. We have so much more depth and difference makers now. Of course, we can have a pure meltdown and loss to the suns like we did. But as we gel more and learn to play together more, I see those bad losses to the suns as appearing less or not happening anymore.

From AWOW:

"On Wednesday against the Spurs? When both Bjelica and Gibson were on the floor, the Wolves were +12. They are now +39 in 24 minutes of action, forming an outrageous net rating of +83.5. Their lineups have averaged 141.0 points scored per 100 possessions (!!!) and they have allowed just 57.5 points per 100 possessions. (!!!) (!!!) (!!!)"
