I just watched the replay of the Jrue strip on Booker. He'll get all the credit, but it was all set up by Tucker's on-ball defense and Giannis's looming interior presence. It's all about defense...individual and team... and the Bucks are truly a great defensive team.

The beginning of that 2nd quarter was bad for the Suns. They really missed an opportunity there a few times. Obviously the Bucks came out and played well but the Suns didn't start that quarter well.
Chris Paul followed up a bad game with one where he was just an NBA starting PG performance. That's not going to get it done. If the Suns are gonna win another game he has to do more. Credit the Bucks on D both individually and something they are doing in ow they are playing him.
As FNG said Pat C has been terrific. Meanwhile the Suns role players haven't been as good the last couple games...except Crowder who has been very good also. The Suns need more from someone Portis has outperformed a couple of those guys himself even if his D has been terrible which I would say it's more of a mixed bag than bad.

Unbelievable performance by Giannis and he did it it more like a guy just playing his ass off than a star which freaking awesome. This was a fun series and I'm happy for Giannis and Bucks fans.
Also glad Chris Paul showed up in this game.

I can't remember the last time I've been this happy with the outcome of the NBA finals. Throughout this series, I've found myself intensely rooting for the Bucks as if they were the Wolves. It's impossible not to like this story. An upper Midwest team without glitz or glamour that hasn't won a championship in 50 years. And a group of players who are the opposite of the modern-day sports prima donnas. Congrats to the Bucks!!! Congrats to MVP Giannis! And Congrats to Cool!

Hard not to be happy for the Bucks. With the most likeable superstar I can remember in Giannis, to a guy who went from nobody to All-Star in Middleton, to the role players like Portis who was a cast-off, they had the right mix to win the NBA title even if in a year like this one.
This is a good thing for the Wolves as well, showing that an unselfish, non-prima donna superstar, a guy who could write his own ticket to any city in the NBA, stayed in small-market Milwaukee rather than running to the cities of lights. So nice, in the age of the player free agent stack, to see a team draft their superstars and win with them.

One of my best friends who is a Bucks fan who said he lost his voice and honestly is surprised how excited he is with this win reminded me that Vin Baker won a championship ring as an assistant coach. That's a great story I've been pulling for Vin Baker to succeed in life over the years.

I traditionally always root for the Western Conference team, but if a East Team had to win it, I'm glad it was the Bucks.

It wasn't long ago that the Bucks fans were worried about Giannis leaving. What a difference a year makes. The Jrue Holiday trade was brilliant. Giannis is still only 26 and so the Bucks may be able to win several more titles.

Personally I thought the Bucks did some things to win this we're that were different et than how they started the series. They played different and even ran out that super big Giannis Lopez Portis lineup. Maybe Coach Bud isn't an idiot after all and now he is a championship coach.
