I think we're should stay pat take our losses and wait for the bargain guys at the end of free agency.
Let teague expire knock a year off diengs deal, try to develop wiggs then sell cap space for picks in 2020 when high school kids are eligible to get drafted.
Then trade Towns after the 2021 season and restart the cycle. Maybe Culver is the next guy Minnesota can't, or won't, build around. Rinse. Repeat.
Amen.
How many picks do we want to fail to develop, or even try to develop? We have way too many as is. We hit on a surefire one, push some damn chips in for another proven running mate.

What chips though? DLO seems like a stretch for us mostly because we just don't have a lot to offer.

Use 1sts to dump teague and/or dieng. We can afford to lose some. First call i make is to David Griffin dieng and a 1st 10 protected.

If the rumor is true that Wiggins has even neutral value, even better. Here I call Memphis and NY.

How can we afford to lose "some" 1st rounders? I wouldn't want to completely empty the pipeline. I'm also very skeptical about Wiggins being neutral value.
I just think other teams have more to offer/more flexibility to be players with the bigger name free agents than we do. That doesn't mean Rosas shouldn't try, but I'm skeptical anything real awe-inspiring happens.
I also think the best GMs are ones that identify under-valued assets that can have a positive impact on results. I see a potential market inefficiency with bigs right now that could potentially help us a lot without breaking the bank.

Good points, Q. I agree that the better GMs are good at identifying under-valued assets that can positively impact the team. You point about a current market inefficiency with his is an interesting one. Could you elaborate on that? Thanks.
Wow. He is walking away from millions to do charity work. Admirable and honorable guy. Wish the best for him. Earn my respect for sure.
Collison is the guy I wanted to sign after the Rubio deal. Better three-point shooter than Teague and would have cost less. I'm too really admire him for what he's doing.
