I think Culver has become the Wolves best defender. Rosas made an incredible pick. Well done! :thumb:

Can we defend with kat back? That will be the most important question we need to answer regarding this teams future.
Make all the trades we want to bring in an elite playmaker, but this team is going nowhere if KAT cant anchor this team at an average level, especially since we will play with only 1 big.
The right move is to play more than one big. Right now that means pairing KAT with Gorgui or Vonleh. Eventually that means adding a defensive big to the roster. Meanwhile, any defensive improvement from KAT would be welcome gravy.
But note that our defense hasn't improved solely because KAT's been out. Napier is a step up defensively over Teague. And the whole team has stepped up defensively.
I agree to an extent but Jeff Teague has a defensive rating according to cleaning the glass of 113.4 what is not good (22nd percentile) but in lineups without Kat what is about 40% of his possessions his defensive rating jumps to 107.2. What is above average (67th percentile). It is pathetic when Teague and Kat are on the court it's 118.2 what is pathetic (4th percentile).
It's a really bad look for KAT that the wolves are #1 in the NBA in defense when Kat dosen't play and percieved bad defenders in Teague and Wiggins have been above average with Kat off the court and pathetic with him on it.
To be fair it's nice to play Cleveland and GSW without there only good offensive players. Culver has taken a leap these last group of games since KAT was hurt, he's the Wolves best defender now. The competition has been bad as well, other then the Bucks really and it would be hard to say the Bucks didn't take it easy seeing who are these college kids? But saying that, the defense has been great. I don't put much stock into it being all KAT.
When KAT comes back look for the defense to maintain a similar level, as long as they are not playing an LA team or Houston, etc.
I would like to see this team without KAT against an LA team on primetime, where you know the stars are not going to come out flat.
Barkley and Shaq said it perfectly right on TNT, he said match ups completely affected their effort level. Embiid or other centers bring 100% effort against KAT. It's the I want to show you I am the best player. While against a Vonleh, Naz or Dieng, they simply won't care. I think the Iowa Wolves are benefiting from being the underdog. They are still getting it done, it's just something to consider when looking at stats.

Didn't watch. Again.
Another soft tank isn't all that interesting for me. BUT... I'm still disappointed.
I'd have turned on the DVR recording if Kevin Love was playing. His attempts to get out of that town are becoming amusing.

This comes after his intentional 3-seconds (6 seconds) in the lane violation a couple weeks back after nobody passed him the ball.

Yikes. It must be frustrating to see guys he considers to be contemporaries of his going to the LA teams while he's been largely forgotten in Cleveland. I'm not sure if I should feel sorry for him or not.

Well, he got paid. A lot. So should he really be THIS upset so quickly? Plus, how could he expect them not to suck?
BUT...
Was there a sort of wink-wink deal with the Cavs where he was promised to be moved eventually? The rub is that he's not an easy guy to move right now... that contract.
