Grahams defense is strong and he doesn't try and hurt the offensive end as much Culver or Okogie driving the lane or chucking 3's as much. He's less bad I suppose.

I didn't watch the game. And I don't plan on watching the recording because I see nothing of value in this win. Five Wolves players played heavy minutes and at least 3 of those five (Teague, Covington and Graham) can't reasonably be considered part of this team's future if the organization is serious about becoming a contender. If you don't see Gorgui as part of the Wolves future, then Wiggins was the only player with heavy minutes tonight who could be considered a long-term building block. I haven't even mentioned Napier, another short-term body, logging 22 minutes. And what did this group do? They won by a single point in double OT against a lottery-bound team playing without its starting PG/best player for all but 2 minutes. None of our young guys - Okogie, Culver, KBD or Martin looked particularly good in the box score, although Okogie didn't look bad. I'd be interested in some observations on those guys from those who watched the game.
The Wolves would have been better off picking up their 12th consecutive loss tonight to continue building a stronger lottery position next Spring. But my hope is that Covington helped raise his trade value tonight. And I've never written off Gorgui as a potential longer-term piece. He's a fierce competitor with a nice mid-range jumper who takes charges and blocks shots. And we're seeing him extend his shooting beyond the arc. Another take-away is that Okogie is better coming off the bench, at least for now.
I truly hope some fans enjoyed the Wolves win tonight. I'm just not among them.

I agree with just about everything you said, Lip. My one exception is your bit about Gorgui Dieng being a piece for the future. I can't wait for him to be off this roster.

When we make the playoffs 3 years from now this will be the point when it all turned around.

Gorgui Dieng and Cov looked good tonight. I hope Gorgui keep his minutes up when KAT comes back.

Bogdanovic shot it 28 times. Fuckin Ballhog cost the Kings the game. Often a teammate was wide open and he shot the ball instead.

He gets ripped A LOT. After all, familiarity leads to contempt...
... but is Gorgui Dieng the team's 2nd best (or most reliable/impactful) player in games where KAT sits?
He's never had a negative VORP in his entire career.
16/10/50% fg ... 12 three pointers (most on team?) ... in the past 5 games/starts.
The Wolves have a lot of problems. Personally, I don't think Dieng is one of them. (sans the contract... I understand that part of it... but I think a lot of the criticism about him has gone beyond the contract)
[Note: He's serviceable. That's not high praise. But this is the Wolves, where serviceable may be enough to be applauded.]

Yikes. Didn't watch much of this one... but that has to be a career high for him, right?
Any word on "chemistry" issues in Sacramento? They were supposed to be better. I know not having Fox hurts a lot... but Hield has been horrific lately too.
Sac BIGS = 17 - 31 (60%)
Wings = 20 - 76 (29%)
I'm glad I couldn't get into this one and turned it off.
[Note: Dwayne Dedmon is barely a rotation guy now. He has to be potential trade bait right? Or did he just let himself go after signing the $40M deal this summer? Seems odd. To be fair, so many things about the Kings in the past 10+ years are really odd. It's not a good franchise.]

If you include this game where fox hurt he has missed 18 games this year what is huge.
Also Luke Walton changed there offense. They were #2 or 3 in pace last year. This year they are 28.

Yeah. I heard early on that they were playing slower... I would have thought that had changed. Seems like a strange move considering the team did pretty well last year.
Is the slower pace also attributed to Fox?
