Shoot, what would it take to get McCollum?? Covington, culver and a 1st? Do it. That's the kind of guy we need with towns. There's other more buy low guys that I'd go for too. They're wasting Covington's current value on this team right now! He's far from their biggest need.

I think some of our fans are dumber than our FO.

So RoCo, a trade up to get Culver and dismiss him in the first year, and another first to further handcuff our cap with our third max in CJ or DLO. Oh, not to mention the trade doesnt even work and we'd be hitting tax.

Great idea.

What is your plan then. We will never have cap with Towns and Wiggins on this team.

So what is the gameplan, sit on our hands and pray that Okogie, Culver and the Iowa Wolves get better. While reports today come out that Kat is unhappy with the wolves organization.

I don't think anyone thinks trading for Dlo or CJ in this case is 100% full proof, it's a gamble hoping the wolves can win enough to keep Kat happy.

Once again Wolves don't have assets currently. We can pray that the young guys improve from borderline NBA players to all stars but it's also super risky because for the rest of the year all the Kat is unhappy and wants out rumors have begun.

So what is your plan

Sorry. But I really don't know what else to write about the current team. And more importantly, there's really no discussion points because there's very few unique takes.

I think most, if not everybody, thinks they suck and things look bleaker than expected.

I'm waiting for the Derrick Favors and Jared Dudley threads to regenerate.

Gonna call me dumb huh? Cool guy. I've been reading this site for years and if that came from one of the good posters I might actually be hurt.

The plan is the reality.

Our team fucked itself and is going to revert to another full rebuild.

Compound your mistake inevitably or just fucking eat it for once and actually fix it.

If you're asking me right now what I would do? Package any firsts needed with whomever to get one PF who spaces or rim protects to go along with Towns and a PG like Brogdon.

Our FO is sitting on their hands with our second star and nobody is going to give a shit about here like KG did. Especially after how he has been treated after Flip passed.

My whole point is we need to commit one way or another and if we're going win now mode, we need roco to get anything good back. I'm not even opposed to tanking, if that's the plan, but I am opposed to future being w dick head:)

So what is the plan. We can't control the past. I want to know your plan. Its easy to bring up that you are right when you don't say what the plan is.

Should we trade Towns for max value now, should we try and build a winner around Kat and how do we do that. Do we just pray Kat accepts the losing and can be the face of this franchise.

All I know is that if the Wolves can simply land a couple more #1 draft pick/max guys... we're definitely, maybe, possibly going to have a legitimately promising future.

I had edited my comment adter you had quoted and replied. I'll expand a bit more here.

I'll preface with saying that I already believe we screwed the pooch on keeping Towns (shoved Butler in his face, dont feed him the ball, DLO didn't think twice about coming here), but I wouldn't entertain trading him until the 2021 season.

At that point Wiggins has 2 years to expiration and Towns will still command a huge haul.

2020 and 2021 picks can go for a real PG. We can start there. We'll recoup them in a Towns trade if it fails.
