So studying the schedule, I come up with 22 away games that should be on League Pass that start before 8:30 PM. There are 6 ESPN games with decent start times. Of the 8 TNT games only 3 are not 9:30 PM start times. So I think League Pass and Sling for TNT/ESPN would be a good plan to see a lot of the games. In the past I have signed up for Xfinty\Comcast during the Timberwolves season and then canceled it when the season was over. Saving extra money, as they haven't made the playoffs for so long of course. But now Xfinity has startup cost close to $100.

Logo a couple questions for you that may help.

Are you located in the MN area or outside of the local like me in Nebraska?

Are you someone that has to watch the games live or would you watch them later? One thing to consider if you want to watch live is that in the past with the Broadband Pass you can start watching a game and rewind back to the beginning and then catch up. In the past I didn't watch live because of the internet being slow and sometimes I just had more time to watch the game later the next day plus there was no commercials. With better internet service I may watch more games live this year.

Local viewer. In the past I have enjoyed watching game on my TiVO DVR. I would program it to start recording, but I would delay watching for about 20 minutes so that I could skip over the commercials. The thing I loved about TiVO is that there was a 30 second button I could push to get my own instant reply. Only downfall to that was I was always behind the twitter and forum comments. I had to ignore any text about the game as I was watching it. I am sure you do the same from NE

I do go on silent for a few hours. Both good and bad I don't have people that would spoil the Wolves outcome for me although...that may be more difficult because a few more people pay attention if this team is actually gonna be good. If I can go a few hours without finding out a Vikings score to watch it later (NFL Game Pass is worth the $99 for the condensed games. Heck I watched 2 games last night cause I could) then I'll probably be able to make it through Wolves games...at least until the playoffs. :)

Another option is if you have a friend of family member that would let you utilize a slingbox you can get their programming for just paying for the box. I have never used that but it could be something to look into depending on what your end game is.

At this point in life and my viewpoint I think I am willing to pay a certain amount if I actually get the content I want and it saves me time with no commercials, condensed games etc. I can't do a condensed game for NBA games I have to see the whole flow of the game. The NFL games unless they flub something up you see every play PF a game in 30-40 mins. Baseball and the Twins are reeling me in as a fan but as much as I like sports I don't think there is any way I would take the time to watch 162 regular season baseball games even without the commercials. My brother loves baseball and he doesn't do that either. Lol on the other hand a condensed game that shows a lot of what happened is around 15 mins.

It's a golden age of sports viewing we live in. I remember back when you could watch 1 Or 2 NFL games a week and that was it. NBA was what I could see on a Sunday on network TV. I can watch women's volleyball games streamed over the internet at the tiny college I went to here in Nebraska. I don't but I could. Lol it's amazing what we have access to.
