His dad? Well... if his dad claims his kid is worth more than $10M... I'm all in on the guy.

I can definitely see why Denver fans are down on Harris. He was showing so much promise as a young, improving two-way player. He was paid well (4 yr/$84M) after three straight years of steady improvement. Look at his numbers from Year 3:

14.9 ppg / 50.2% fg / 42.0% 3fg

That's awesome for a 22 year old. He stayed about the same the first year... still on his rookie deal. But as soon as the new big contract kicked in... he's disappointed. He regressed a lot in year 5 while battling injuries. He's even more mediocre this season.

10.2 ppg / 39.9% / 29.9% 3fg

I'm guessing Harris making 10x more than Beasley has something to do with their preferences...

______

I remember gushing about all of Denver's quality reserves like Beasley and Morris last season as they seemingly were better than the Wolves starters... so we'll see if Beasley can become a key guy with more opportunity.

Harris certainly has been kinda meh. I've also gotten the impression that his defense while plenty solid is often overrated. Meanwhile I get the idea that Beasley's d is better than some of the numbers suggest Harris is kinda undersized and Beasley isn't really that big himself but a I think he looks a little bigger somehow. Anyway trading away Wiggins makes getting Beasley make more sense. They sorta replaced Wiggins with another scoring guard that actually can hit outside shots and plays off the ball better. Dane Moore made a rough comparison of of Beasley to another former Denver guard Evan Fournier. I think we would be pretty happy if we got a player that good relatively speaking but yeah it makes some sense. It would make sense to pay Beasley a decent chunk of money if you thought he was going to be like sorta good. Again Beasley might like a new opportunity and agree to a deal that isn't too crazy. We will see.
