How hard is it to find a player who can put the ball in the basket?

I mean, man we found Sean Kilpatrick simply because he could make it to the game! I think it's time Thibs cuts Lucas and looks for a wing who can flat out score. I don't care if the rest of his game sucks. Just score. Every team has one. Ours (Wiggins and LaVine) unfortunately start.

I'd rather look for an athletic big that plays his ass off and makes energy plays. Give me a D-League guy in the mold of Kenneth Faried. Just give one of those guys an opportunity.

Edit: What's Cliff Alexander still doing in the D-League? That's the kind of player that could be a gem in the right situation.

Certainly not the Kansas version of him. I agree with that very much.

Cam -- I'm with you on Bazz and Aldrich. Speaking of Payne, I'm wondering what's happened to him. He was becoming a part of our rotation off the bench and performed surprisingly well. Now he's totally disappeared. I honestly think he could have helped us tonight getting gone minutes we game to Cole or Bazz. And I'm not fan of Payne.

Yep. I think when we lament all that's wrong with the Wolves consider who on the bench could conceivably start for even the worst teams in the league. Nobody. And nobody is even close to being a rotation guy on a good team. Good teams have guys on the bench who can make a difference consistently. Guys who can start for other teams. Guys who are better than other team's bench guys.

Now, you look at the starters. How many teams would Dieng start for? 1/2 the league? What about Rubio?

The talent isn't there yet.

[Note: Wolves PGs combined for 8 points in 54 minutes. More importantly, they combined for only 6 shots in 54 minutes. This team is playing 4-on-5 on offense right now.]

Other notes:

I've probably been the biggest Shabazz Muhammad detractor on the forum since he arrived. He's been my Rashad McCants/Michael Beasley-like vice for too long. I knew he wasn't coming back next season. I'm ready for him to leave now.

I'm still curious why Jordan Hill can't even see the floor. I'm not saying he's a savior. But he's been a rotation guy everywhere else. You'd think he could get SOME run for a 5-13 team.

Good question, Abe. My sense is that Jordan better hope he isn't subject to drug testing anytime soon. I swear he looks like he's floating on a happy cloud as I watch him on the bench. Doesn't look like a guy who wants to play. Just looks happy and mellow.

I think I might agree with you. Maybe he's just biding time as a bench NBA player. He's still making millions upon the millions he already made. Heck, I goof off work to post here and I'm certainly not making millions.

Last night, going to into commercial, I hit fast-forward on my DVR... and for a second the telecast froze... [White guy alert...] Hill was doing some strange finger gesture to somebody as he got up off the bench heading to the huddle. Looked more than a bit odd...
