Im expecting a 'If MGH dont play, we riot' campaign for the next game.
Will be interesting going forward. Belly was active tonight (was not expected to play), so when Belly comes back do we go back to a 10 man rotation. It will be interesting to see what happens.
If MGH can be that glue guy who will move the ball, defend, and hit a 3 ball, I don't see why you can't play 5 bench guys for a couple of minutes.

I agree, and he played 10 to start the year, Im just curious to see what happens.

He must of did something stupid (like bitch at Thibs) because his play played himself out of the rotation but to not get in garbage time probably did something dumb
Yeah maybe it finally came to a head. Strange that he didn't even get garbage time.
I really wonder if he has some actual minor injury.

What's both interesting and funny is NOBODY fans media etc had a clue he was gonna play and it was clearly the plan for him to get in there. I wonder what it was that made Thibs go to him for this game. He looked extremely solid. He was gonna throw it down on that one drive if VC hadn't fouled him hard

Thibs will play 10 guys if he have 10 guys that can play. We need a 4th big to lessen the minutes of towns and taj and belly is the guy for that. Thibs gave bazz 20 games this year despite bad play from bazz before he finally give up on him. If MGH can steal a couple of minutes rest for butler then thibs will play him.
The key here is to mix starters with bench guys and not play all 5 bench guys at once. Rest 2 of the following players ( towns, wiggins, teague) at the 5-6min mark of the first and play the two you rest for the start of the 2nd to run with the 2nd unit. Teams like warriors do that every game. i think their backups( Dieng, Tyus, crawford/mgh can blend in with the starters and be effective for 5-6min stretch at a time).

Thibs mentioned in the press conference that he didn't want Hield to get going.

Butler getting asked by Jon K "What do you think about about Marcus tonight?"
"I think he is ugly". Lol Butler went on to say plenty of good things about him. Butler clearly was having a lot of fun tonight.

I got the same sense, Matt. He looked tired tonight and against the Sixers. He's been playing the biggest minutes of his career thus far this season at age 32. It's going to eventually catch up with him and I thinking we're beginning to see the effect. Thibs really needs to allocate the minutes more evenly between Taj and Gorgui -- something that would benefit both and ultimately the team. But I have to also note the obvious -- Taj has been terrific and, even when tire, he plays his ass off. I really like his effort and toughness.

The Kings are one of the premiere opponents to test on because you can probably win with a cardboard cut out as one of your bench guys against them.
