I followed it when there was a free trial. He was on the lowe post also. I would say the stats are interesting but not worth the money.
What was the most interesting thing you found in terms of stats. I thought it was interesting the way he said he attempted to take out garbage time more effectively. I wasn't really sold on it but it was interesting.
Shot distribution % per player and there percentiles compared to other players at their positions.
After making a brief appearance out of the cellar, the Thibs-led defense has returned to its rightful position in opponent adjusted field goal percentage...dead last at an abhorrent 56%.
Our defensive 3-point percentage is middle of the pack...it's 2-pointers that drop us into the cellar. And that's mostly fast break layups and inside baskets. I continue to think this has more to do with lack of effort than Thibs' defensive schemes, but that is still on Thibs because of his refusal to hold players accountable for poor defense. I love it when Pop yanks a player out of the game for a bonehead defensive play...Thibs will occasionally do this with Bazz, but almost never with a starter. I understand that he had to play KAT almost 40 minutes last night with Cole and G out, but when they are healthy, Thibs needs to punish KAT for his poor defense. I know Cole is not popular on this board, but his defense is miles ahead of KAT's. Thibs needs to use him on the nights that KAT just isn't getting it done, just like he needs to use Tyus more on nights that Teague is struggling on D. Pulling a player out of a game sends a strong message...just ask Pop. If Thibs continues to not hold his players accountable for poor defense, they are destined to remain at the bottom of the defensive standings.
Going on my Kat rant from last night. You can look at on/off numbers for Kat and opponents offensive rating when Kat is on and off the court.
When Kat is on the court teams are a whole 5.9 points better in offense rating when Kat is on the court. 2nd worst on the team only behind Bazz (12.1). Every other rotation player is positive or right at 0 when it comes to opponent offensive rating.
Teams torch us when Kat is on the court and we are respectable defensively when he is off it
In comparison gorgui, Belly and Butler are all -6 offensive rating points for the opponents when they play compared to when they are off the court
Kat when on the court our defensive rating is 112.1 compared to when he is off the court 102.0 a 10.1 deference when he plays compared to not play pretty big difference
It's not news that KAT is the worst defensive big in the league. He's been there for 2 straight years now. Thank God it's finally being talked about nationally because that's the only way I see it getting to him and him doing something about it. Otherwise he just seems to be in his own universe.

The thing is we are better defensively when wiggins, Butler and taj are on the court. Teague we are a little worse but not a big margin.
Belly has the biggest positive impact on the defense based on on/off numbers

That's good news about Belly...combine that with his 53% shooting on threes, and he should be playing closer to 25 MPG than 15 (unless his foot is still bad, but Belly claims it is not). And KAT's minutes need to be significantly cut if he continues to produce such poor on/off results.

Very true, but you also need to look at our offensive rating with him on versus off the court. It almost erases the deficit caused by his crappy defense (not quite though).
While KAT is a major problem, it takes more than one guy to be the league's 2nd worst defense.

I really like Bjelly and agree he should play more minutes, but we need to be careful with those numbers. Very few of those minutes are against opposing team's starting front line. If he crosses the 18-20MPG threshold, he'll start playing more against starting front line players, but for now, he's mostly matched up against 2nd unit guys.
