Wolves are only 3.5 back of the playoffs. That is amazing to me

That is ridiculous. How odd. The top 7 is so far out of reach, but that #8 seed is just begging for someone to step up and seize it! All we've done is shoot ourselves in the foot! Oh, we beat the Mavs. Yay.
Re: Hey everyone guess what
For once its better to be in the Westerns conference to get into the playoffs...at least right now. lol
Re: Hey everyone guess what
Portland got blown out by the Wizards today. The Wolves could lose these next 2 games against good teams and still be in striking distance. And that would be with a more favorable chunk of games ahead following the Spurs Clippers games.

Wolves 2.5 games back of the playoffs. Just saying

Yup, we are right in the mix. Huge win.
We've had so many letdown games this season, especially against divisional opponents. We FINALLY closed one out against Denver.
I consider the corner officially turned now. That doesn't mean I think we're a lock for that 8th seed, but we've now seen 20 games of .500 ball after an abysmal start with some very nice road and home wins. I'm not sure when or if we will turn another corner this season, but it was nice to finally make that first one!

What make this win more impressive to me is that they won it without Rubio and Lavine was mostly terrible. Dunn stepped up in this game and Bazz was terrific. Denver was playing without Mudiay but I am not sure if that's a loss for them as he had been pretty bad earlier in the season maybe he has been a lot more positive during this stretch. Like Jon K said his the last podcast this game tells him more about the Wolves than the Clippers game. It will be interesting to see if they can make their way up the defensive rating rankings the 2nd half of the year to become middle of the road in that area.
Also the Lakers just got destroyed by Dallas yesterday. After looking good to start...it's been tough going for them even with their multiple legit vet players on the roster.

Lakers are doing what the wolves did last started the season playing .500 ball then collapsed like the wolves did. I like this lakers team is though they have nice pieces just no franchise changer. They will probably lose their pick this year (I believe top 2 protected) from the Nash trade what will hurt there push for the playoffs next year

I forgot about that. That's gonna hurt. They have some nice young talent but you are right none of them are game changers...yet. What they have done is actually draft pretty well later in the draft getting some worthwhile players. They could easily be a team that swings a deal for a high level player of the opportunity presents itself.
