I want the Wolves to get Robert Upshaw out the D-League 7FT 260LBS only 21 years old. They question his off the floor issues and work ethic but you can't teach this kids size. I'd nab him before another team does and cut Rudez he does nothing.

Nice article! I am a huge fan of the D-League and always wondered why it took so long for minor league basketball.

Things I hate most about our franchise; How do you not own a D-League team? How do you sell draft picks for cash?

1) Prince's successor at starting SF...a 3 &D SF. I like Cam's idea of Batum above if he is a free agent.

Batum is free agent after this season. But I think if he continues to play as well as currently and finishes season with averages like 17 pts, 6rbs, 4 asts with 60% TS% and around 18 PER, someone is going to offer him max since he is still just 27 years old. But maybe he will give a discount to Wolves since his last contract would have been much smaller if Kahn wouldn't have offered him that big contract which Portland then matched. :) Good thing about Batum is that he has already once signed contract with Wolves so I think it is certainly possible that could sign again.

I would want to be taking a shot at adding another keeper. I think Portis would be a future keeper. I would be willing to offer up Shabazz or Bjelica for him.

I would like another PG too, but feel we need to give Jones some burn to figure out what we have and Miller can play some decent minutes. I think the key for this team is to move Kevin Martin for a building block for this team.

Everybody is missing out on the giant elephant in the room.

I think everybody agrees that Towns and Wiggins are two players who are good enough to get us to the playoffs every year. So now you gotta think whose going to help you or hurt you come playoff time.

Rubio is 18 for his last 62 shots! And were talking about start of the season where games don't matter as much and teams aren't trying as hard.

Look at what teams did to Tony Allen in the playoffs. Look at what the Cavs did to the Warriors and to Bougt. If you have a weakness, teams will exploit the shit out of that. Teams are going to make Rubio unplayable when they sag 5 feet off of him every time and make him score 30 points to win every night. You have to find a back up plan before this becomes an issue. Rubio is not going to be a good enough shooter to make teams pay

As noted the other night... the Cavs even dared Jeff Teague to shoot in the playoffs by sagging way off him.

And he was a 46% shooter.

So what would you suggest we do? Right now we still seem totally dependent on him for our success.

Nobody is missing out on anything. I am as disheartened with Rubio's shooting as the next guy, and really question his off season work ethic, but you can't just sag off him or he will slice up a defense with his passing. They already go under screens, and leave him unattended on the weak side, so I don't really see what more they can do that will hurt us. He clearly is a huge step up on defense, and running the offensive sets. Let's worry about staying healthy and getting to the playoffs first.

Baby steps! :)

Not sure if you know this, but the lakers had Upshaw for the summer league and part of camp I believe, but cut him due to behind the scenes issues. He apparently has some anger problems that he has been unable to deal with. Not a guy we need in the locker room with the young roster we currently have.
