I know, 60WinTim has been telling us this for the better part of a decade! Those playoffs are always right around the next corner.....

Relax Rube and go have a drink. This is why we have discussion boards, to argue about these things.
I get some people just don't like Flip but come on some of these comments are just stupid. GR3 only 2 things going for him, his athleticism and his dad. He didn't produce at Michigan and with all the injuries this year he couldn't even make his way onto the court. Yes he had some potential but cutting a 2nd round pick who had proven nothing in college or the NBA doesn't even approach boneheaded. Plus the guy he got is a center who's career free throw percent is 92% which is what everyone on here knows is the most important thing for a center.
Also anyone who has even the slightest basketball knowledge knows that trading for a rookie (Payne) is never about now. Every move Flip has made has turned out just fine so let's kids the kids some time to mature and improve and not jump on every little move he makes.
This thread more be more insane than the Wiggins threads earlier in the year. This is not the move to have any emotions about. He was a second round player that couldn't get past post injury Budinger on the end of the bench.
Cam come on man comparing Payne 24 and Weedon 29 (ages as rookies) is a joke. Wait maybe you were joking. Lol As for the plan let's be honest whatever the plan is its been screwed up a lot of this year by injuries and overall suckitude. About all that's gone really right is Wiggins and Bazz and then Bazz got hurt. It's been pretty brutal. Flip the coach and the POB has had to sort of do things on the fly and I think he has ended up with some guys he likes at this point. I don't think a lot of these moves were in the plan and yes some of the moves are a little head scratching but considering all that's happened in the past what 8-9 months well yeah I guess that shouldn't be a surprise. Just sayin.
What I continue to find sort of funny and baffling is the consensus that Hamilton is basically worthless practice fodder. He might turn out to be worthwhile. Maybe he won't but hey he seems to be worth a look to me. What this team needs is a third center. Maybe he could be that guy. The expectations for that type of player aren't too high. Maybe he becomes a Greg Steimsma type impact player. Sounds good for a 3rd center and not an unrealistic expectation. I don't have my hopes up for even that but like I said he is worth a look.

All of those guys are bench depth. I can't see how our plan is to win the championship next year. Towns will get plenty of minutes and if he can't beat out those 9 guys at least we will know early on that he isn't an impact player.
