And something that was not seen this year, that many of us have watched him since he was about 16 know that he can do, is that he can step away from the basket and shoot threes." - ESPN college basketball analyst Fran Fraschilla on the potential of Karl-Anthony Towns.
For those that think I've embellished on Towns' shooting ability... I guess Fran and I are blind.
The NBA three point line is just a different beast. It made Stauskas a below average shooter and he was a great 3pt shooter in college and had an epic shooting run on YouTube. McDermott was also a 32% 3 point shooter last year. It's one thing to show it in high school or practice. It's a different beast to do it in an NBA game consistently. I guess to Towns' benefit, nobody is going to guard him out there until he proves it needs to be guarded.

If Towns can hit 3s in college, he'll be perfect for Flips long 2 offense :-)

Great point.
Flip sees his offense working better in today's NBA then ever. He sees defenses out at the 3pt line and packed in the lane. The shots from his offense will allow then to get open looks with defenders standing behind them protecting 3pt shots.

Bleed I can see that. Standing behind us would prevent us from the feared step back 3.

Exactly. This is Flip's vision of where teams will go to adjust and we will be a step ahead of them.

Watching Karl Towns work out in a setting like this is an absolute joke. Doing some absolutely unreal things. Unbelievable how skilled he is

We could have two of the best young two way players in the game if we land Towns and on rookie contracts. I am hoping Flip announces this pick early so we don't have to stress out about him doing something stupid.

Ford gushing too. Zgoda retweeted this I am not a huge fan of Ford but yeah.
@chadfordinsider: Workout over. Towns one of the most freakishly talented bigs I've ever seen. Not sure what his weakness is in this setting.
Watching a couple short clips of both WCS and Towns handling the ball just reminds you just how truely talented guys are at that level.
