Do you like results or the process? Butler dribbles down the clock and takes and makes a tough contested 3 to win the game. I'll say one thing about Butler it seems like Butler's footwork to get separation around the 3 point line is better this year. It showed on that play and it still was defended well. Credit him for hitting some tough shots but we have seen first hand how that doesn't always work out well.

The defensive change across the board is staggering.

After tonight's game, the wolves now have the best drtg since the butler trade.

6-2 vs 5-2 for the Butlers since the trade! It gets tougher now with 3 challenging home games, but no reason we can't go at least 2-1. Let's go Wolves!

After a terrible start under the Butler cloud, the post-Butler Wolves are 6-2. That's a nice run, but honestly the Wolves should be at least 6-2 given who they've played and how many home games they've had during that stretch.

Looking ahead, the Wolves have 4 consecutive home games coming up - Spurs, Celtics, Rockets and Hornets. Two of those four teams, the Celtics and Rockets, are more talented than the Wolves but neither one is playing particularly well yet this season. Moreover, the Wolves have proven to be a very good home team so far this season and the team is healthy. So there's a legitimate chance the Wolves win all four. That would be a huge boost to the Wolves playoff hopes because the schedule gets tougher after these next four with road games against Portland and Golden State among others. And Curry will likely be back with the Warriors when the Wolves play them. The Wolves dug themselves into a hole with a terrible start and this is the opportunity to dig themselves out. So far so good.

I hope the Wolves win all four, I expect us to win at least three and I'd be terribly disappointed if we win only two. These are the types of opportunities the Wolves have to take full advantage of to be a playoff team this season.

Both teams with blowout victories tonight. Maybe the trade was great for both of us

Maybe. We're 7-2 and they're 6-2, so at first look the trade looks good for both. But I would argue that our wins have been much more impressive than their's...who have they beaten? Take last night for example. The 76ers beat the Knicks by 26. But we beat the Spurs by 39! And without two nearly desperate threes that Jimmy won't normally make, the Sizers are 4-4 since the trade. Plus look at the change in defense for each team since the trade. Can't wait for the two head-to-ead meetings (although we know Jimmy will probably be on winter vacation for at least one of them).

If the Sixers have success, more power to them. Butler is a great player. The only thing that matters to me is watching the team I root for be competitive and try their best. We appear to have that now. Let all the other chips fall where they may.
