Wow they actually lost this one. Final home game against a team that might not win the D-League without Russel, new logo unveiling, and they lose. Happy I had to miss it. This team has been incredibly creative in finding ways to lose this season: big leads lost, mental errors, hero ball, funny bounces, etc. Never seen a season like this one...hope to never see one like it again.

Giving the new logo a "B+" overall. Love the font and the colors, the wolf and star are ok. I like the concept of the star, but seems like it couldn't have been done better.

But back to the team. Honestly they should have burned the current uniforms on top of the current logo after the game, then had to play the last game in Houston in their underwear. And Thibs has to coach the last game in a muzzle. Smh. On to the lottery, again.

I just have to say even though you probably were just going hyperbole but that OKC team would crush any D-league team. Adams Kanter and Dipo are pretty good players.

I do agree that losing Zach and Belly hurt the team. But this team set its course for a putrid finish long before those two went down. I could see us winning tonight's game and the Laker game if we had one or both of those guys. Add a few more wins with them playing the last few weeks and perhaps we end up with 36 wins. That would still be a terrible disappointment and and indictment of Thibs. If Thibs is truly an elite head coach, then even 36 wins this season from a fully healthy squad start to finish would cast Thibs in a negative light.

Why is it a terrible dissapointment that a team that got worse on paper finished with a better record?

I think he missed my entire point. Oh well.

The team didn't get worse on paper. That's my point. I guess I just don't put as much value as you do on Tayshaun Prince and Andre Miller compared to Rush, Aldrich and Dunn. At most it's a wash on paper. Note that Prince and Miller aren't even in the League anymore. On paper I see the same core with more experience and a purportedly better coach this season after a nearly .500 finish at the end of last season. Such a team, on paper, should have had a significantly better record this season than last. To me and many others it's a terrible disappointment that we didn't. To you and some others, perhaps not.

Tell me how an NBA team with two bigs, 1 wing and 1 PG totalling 4 decent to good NBA players is supposed to win more games? Zach barely played more than half the season and was a 1 way player. Belly and Bazz were terribly inconsistent most of the season with small bright spots outweighed by a lot of bad play. Rush and Aldrich gave us basically nothing. Dunn played like a rookie and Tyus wasn't much better. We had 4 decent to good NBA players. Why should that team win significantly more games than last years version that had everyone healthy? I don't understand how Thibs was supposed to win with 4 guys. This team lacks quality NBA players which is exactly what needs to go around Towns, Wiggins and Zach to teach them how to be NBA players night in and night out. That's why it worked out immediately in Chicago. He had vets all over those teams around his core pieces that were fairly new to the league.

Kahns -- Did we really have better players or older players last season? Of course not. We had the same players last year except they were even younger and less experienced that this season. And they finished strong last season. So yes, I expect those young players and, therefore, the team to improve significantly over last season. The only older players we had last season who weren't back this season were KG, Miller and Prince. Miller was the nonfactor the entire season. KG was a nonfactor the entire second half of the season, including the closing stretch when the team was at its best. Prince, but it's a monumental stretch to suggest that losing Prince is a significant reason for this team's failure to improve over last season.

I think both sides can be right in this, I am more on the side of I don't blame thibs much. And I think the last 20 games last year skewed our thinking with 7 wins coming with the opponents best player was out but they had 3 great wins against the thunder, Blazers and warriors.

So I think the thinking was skewed and I said this from the beginning of the season. But that dosen't mean the season wasn't a failure. The team should of been fighting for a playoff spot till the end. We should not have a worse record than the kings or the Mavs.

I think it is more on the players, but the thing I didn't like from thibs this season is not one player made a massive jump in production. I think a lot a players made small improvements like wiggins, shabazz and Ricky. But nobody exceeded expectations this year and some of that is on the coach.

I think this is a huge offseason, flat out and it is a scary one, last offseason with cap space and hopefully a high draft pick. If we suck again next year a lot of hope will be lost

The problem is that for example Jordan Hill played last year 1500 minutes for 46 win Indiana team. Aldrich was a rotation player with almost 300 more minutes for 53 win Clippers team and Rush was good enough to be in rotation of 73 win Golden State team. Why always other coaches find a way to get decent contribution from players that we think not good enough to get minutes for much worse Wolves team?

I think that it is especially puzzling that Indiana team with Paul George, George Hill, Monta Ellis, Mahinmi, Jordan Hill, Lavoy Allen, rookie Myles Turner, C.J. Miles and Stuckey was able to win 46 games last season. Even tough PG13 is really good, I cannot buy that last years Indiana team would have had better roster than this years Wolves team have.

First, I didn't accuse him of the game passing him by. I said the way the NBA crew was talking it made me wonder. Second, to not question Thibs at this point sounds more ridiculous to me.

Nailed it Cool. I can't believe people anyone can look at this year as anything other than a failure. It was a wasted season in which we accomplished absolutely nothing aside from losing another year from the rookie deals of our soon to be expensive young players. To not question the direction of the team after a season like this is delusional IMO. A lot of coaches would have been fired after a season like this. Thibs will obviously get a chance to redeem himself next year. But the honeymoon is over. When you are hired as a big name/high paid guy you have to deliver.

Yeah thats a bunch of crap to think we accomplished nothing. Thibs forced our core players to put everything on their backs, they both grew up quite a bit. Just because our shit supporting cast let them down doesn't mean the players that for sure will be here didn't grow. Claiming we accomplished nothing and that it was a wasted season is what sounds delusional to me. But hey I guess we could hire our 4th coach in 4 years and act shocked once again that they couldn't instantly make the Wolves a winner.
