- Rubio. There are some parts of basketball that can't be measured by stats. His effort, intensity, enthusiasm last night was obvious. Maybe Paul was sick, tired, bored, looking forward to the matchup vs. Memphis tonight... whatever it was... Rubio took it to Paul last night. He set the tone and the team followed.

- 29 / 14 / 67%... and it seemed... routine? I know there was some angst about Towns earlier this season. But give the big guy credit for figuring out who/what he is and improving.

- Lance Stephenson is goofy. You just don't quite know what he's going to do. That unorthodox style can work... and look terrible. You just hope for more good than bad when all is said and done.

- The three point shooting remains a problem. Meh. Nothing new there. (Stop pump-faking, Towns!)

- The Clippers really are unlikable. I STILL think that they have a chance if healthy to make one postseason run... there's so much talent there. But how much does their constant agitating/whining actually distract them from the task at hand? Is that part of the team's perpetual problem (other than injuries?)

- The Wolves have now scored the exact same amount as the opposition. But they're 11 games under .500. Conversely, OKC has been outscored but the team is 35 - 29. Same with Atlanta. It's a yearly time-honored tradition in Minnesota. Hopefully, that changes soon... next season?

Nice quick-hitters Abe. Rubio absolutely carved up the Clippers in the 1st quarter. He played a little less inspired after that, but he set the tone early and helped us get a lead that we never gave up.

KAT is in his second year. He's 21. It's insane.....he's practically putting up a double-double in the first half most games.

The problem is floor spacing. Bazz loves to work near the hoop, even when his 3-ball is falling. That's the exact same space Wiggins and KAT are at their best. Rush helps provide our offense floor balance since he almost exclusively stays outside and provides a gravitational pull on the defense.

All of those are legit issues. But the individual matchups play into our favor. Most teams have a guy that can guard one of them, but there are very few teams with the personnel to shut them both down. Last night is case and point.

Understood, but you can still accomplish the same thing by bringing Bazz off the bench early for Rush, which Thibs does fairly often. Wiggins almost always plays the full 1st and 3rd quarter, so there is a decent amount of time these two end up playing together.

Unfortunately, Bazz hasn't helped his cause much lately. His 3-ball has gone down the toilet over the past 10 or so games. I've never seen a guy go from white-hot to stone-cold like that.

In this game Bazz did all the other stuff though. He had a bynchnof hustle plays went after rebounds like a mad man played some solid D. Someone had a tweet that said the quarters he was on the floor the Clippers scored 36 points. The quarter he didn't they had 36.ok obviously he isn't that good of a defensive presence but he doesn't have to hit 3's to be a worthwhile player and his defense has been the biggest surprise.

I feel like Lance could be a useful player like the Bucks have gotten out of Beasley this year putting him in the right role and pulling him out when...it gets a little crazy. They have different strengths to their games but both have some pretty good physical gift and both guys have legit talent you can see it when they play. Both are a little whacky too. I know Lance had a couple bad plays but he was passing the ball really well that pass to Towns was too much but I'm not sure it was that off target. I think he will be signed for the rest of the year and could be a guy that ends up being a nice player for this team for a few years and probably will be cheap too.
