Call it the old reliable Price is Right move... but I want to change my vote.

1 win.

[Note: No, actually, 20 - 62. I think now that this team knows the lottery isn't changing and it has somehow stumbled upon yet another grace period where it's not expected to win... it's tanking. That depth people are talking about now will be depleted via trades. And, every team in the West is simply better stocked.]

Duncan/Parker
Durant/Westbrook
Paul/Griffin
Curry/Iggy
Harden/Howard
Randolph/Gasol
Dirk/Ellis
Lilliard/Aldridge
Pek/Rubio

One of these pairings is not like the others. That's the road to the playoffs in no particular order for those thinking we are a playoff team. Even Lawson/AA, Cousins/Gay and Dragic/Bledsoe are on par or better than Pek/Rubio.

Do you think there's more uncertainty and disparity of opinion about the Wolves' fortunes this year?

Last year's range: 7 games (43-50)

This year's range: 32 games! (20-52)

This year's squad is a mystery, to say the least.

Hey.....call it what you want. I have season tickets seats right behind the Wolves bench and what I see are a bunch of guys "giving" Love all of his rebounds. When he's in, there would be like 5-6 uncontested rebounds per game (everyone from our team just looks at each other and runs off to the other end and let's Love pad his stats).

Is it Love's fault? No. I just think it's a bit inflated. Can Love score? Absolutely, but scoring and rebounding are just 2 facets of the game that doesn't always translate into wins (as we can see with Love). And, wins are what we need--- not rebounds or points to climb the standings.

I'm most comfortable with the replacement players that Flip has in place. Just as Brewer pitched in 51 or Dieng getting those double-doubles (given his late season opportunity), this team will be ok.

I've always contended that true superstar throws their team on their backs and carries them. Not solely on stats----but intangibles like Garnett guarding the point and making the players around him better. LOL....but Love barely covers his guy let alone opt to shadow someone are superior in speed and agility.

I just thank him for not coming out and demanding a trade---this would have damage our leverage and would not allow us to net Wiggins.

But what's past is just that. Past. Let's focus on this team and roll.

I stand by my count of 46 wins and Flips assertion that we now have lots more "2 way players" to make this possible.

Great debate going on. For what its worth, Im buying the glass is half full argument over the half empty one. In my opinion, it's the stronger argument by far. I'll say 42 wins. Besides, When all these great teams in the West start beating each other up, good chance they overlook the suposedly lowly Wolves and figure they can just turn it on in the 4th.

I think you're going to enjoy those season ti a lot more this year, .com!

You nailed it with your analysis of Love's rebounds. I'm not saying that he is not a great rebounder, because he is...especially for a guy without much length. But he also got every "easy" rebound, either because of teammate deference or his passion to add to that rebound total. With a poor rebounder like Young replacing Love in the starting lineup, my initial thought was that we were going to get hammered on the boards this season. But then we went out and outrebounded our opponents in preseason, so maybe we'll be okay.

Listening to a radio interview today with Jim Souhan talking to Flip and it sounds like Flip isn't expecting much from this team. He said that Wiggins still has a long way to go and being around the 35-40 win mark is the worst place to be. It makes sense though. Once the Wolves look like they're clearly out of it, there's no more incentive to win games, so we can expect some tanking down the stretch

A 46 win season would be the worst case for the Wolves if you think about it. At 46, your still out of the playoffs, PLUS you lose your draft pick to the Suns (which I believe it top 12 protected this year). I doubt Flip is that dumb to where if they're around that mark to not tank and be able to keep that pick
